I thought aimframe was not able to keep up w/ AOLs recent tightening of connectivity for 3rd party apps.
HORRIBLE problems trying to run aim under win7 64bit. Freezes on every send. Really annoying. Trillian works fine but I prefer aim. Even the Windows compatibility troubleshooter had no luck. I’ll try 5.5 but wow AOL is really behind the game here.
I hated it at first, but the beta release (beta.aol.com) of aim 6.0 seems as good as 5.9 to me- more modern look and I think all of the functionality from 5.9 is there. Except one thing- I dont find the ‘save buddy list’ and ‘load buddy list’ functionality.
I’ve tried all- Triton (aim 6.0) is pretty solid at this point. I don’t like Aim pro at all- no ads but also missing some functionality.
latest AIM official beta (used to be triton but now they just call it some numbered release) is also pretty good with vertical tabs. you can tear off any you want to keep in front.

bizarre- doesn’t happen for me in a different office. But does happen for the guy who sits next to me- maybe firewall or proxy related? if anyone has heard same let me know, otherwise keep up the great communication on this site!
hey! got one! 909 area code, using Fontana CA, zip 92335. Left myself a mssg and picked it up on voicemail. Not sure why but during Digits creation they made me change my IM pwd.
AIM frame paid edition lets u send to all buddies.

from what I’ve heard- Triton was released in a hurry to compete with skype-enabling on yahoo IM. I think that many of the features everyone got used to with earlier versions are planned for Triton- eventually.!
I didn’t think their were any AIM clients that supported specific sounds per user? (except their expression sounds). do you have a way to assign specific sounds?? thx.
