that happened to me once. i dont remember if closing/opening aim worked, or if i had to reboot. but it only happened once
hmm … doesnt seem to be doing me any good. i put it in the profile for aim: smlsfb but it ended up kinda funky. im gonna try viewing the profile from a winbox and see if it does anything

in windowsi actually had my buddy list revert several months once. when i logged on, it was my buddy list, but from a long time ago. since then ive switched to linux, and now use gaim. one of the best features is alias, which allows me to rename, in a sense, all my buddies. no longer do i forget who is who!

funny you should ask, these guys seem to have thought of a solutionIf she has aim+, thats just the program shutting down. aim+ has cloning, which enables you to have multiple copies of aim running at the same time. it has nothing to do with hacking/spying/anything
additionaly, the best way to stop other people from signing on her screen name is to change the password
also, i installed aim on a public computer once, and forgot to uncheck the save password and auto sign on boxes. everytime that someone opened aim, i got kicked off at home.
but to re-emphasize, CHANGE THE PASSWORD. that will stop other people from using her nameIf you want an excellent logging program, switch to linux and get gaim from sourceforge.net
if you dont want to make the switch, there is a port of gaim for win32. however, last i checked it was still in alpha release. And i dont know how it does the logging. In linux tho, each screen name gets a log. all your messages to buddyxxx are in buddyxxx.log
Another sweet feature of gaim is that you can sign on multiple accounts _and_ multiple protocols. So you can have icq and aim. and multiple screen names signed on _in the same window_. I know aim+ has cloning, but gaim lets you have all your buddy lists in the same window. Its really sw33t.Kazaa lite. Google for it, or get kazaa and download it. No ads/spyware. Very sw33t. I would be using it now, but ive got Linux ^_^. On my win box tho, this is the install file:
