u can use the command msconfig at start and run which allows u to see which programs start up with windows and u can select or deselect them plus other options u can find more info in here

there other programs that let u change the start up programs like ccleaner which u can find it here

i dont know its possible to do that but apperantly not….. beside its not right as the person u want to add have the right to know who want to add them and have a choise to accept or refuse the adding….
iam having the same problem…cant use the video or audio if iam using trillian pro and my friend is using msn messenger..i think its realy bad for msn messenger not support other protocols that trillian is using…does any have a soultion for this problem????

iam using trillian pro3 and i can use animated pic or gif for my user icon ..not sure if that answer ur question about animated icon or not but iam using mine fine….not sure about smiles tho
i think is mess patch is more like a menu update that vb packets was doing for yahoo messenger 7 ..but still its a good idea to get rid of some of the features that u dont use..
it would be good if u can choose which features to remove and not remove others that u use or might be using

i tried dermot’s ad destroy 2 and the first time i used it, it gave me an error (cant move file to c drive) twice and it went on to say evrything is done and i should start messenger….messenger wont start and it gives an error it (cant find resource file) so i had to go to the backup folder and copy the file there back to the messenger file, i tried that twice and its the same….:confused:
so i thought it could be something i did unknownly so i uninstall it and tried it again and it gave me and error that (the version might not be batchable and it will discharge the changes or something like that) but it look like it was doing its work and when it finished …
i started the messenger and the ads still there……:mad:is there diffrenet verisons of ad destiry ifr messenger 8.681 and 8.071??
