It can’t. You need to use your region’s Yahoo! Messenger to access your region’s chat rooms.
I swear it could be done in old versions…

Download the locale version of Yahoo! Messenger for your region, if one is available.
Yes, like i said that worked in the VM.
But I want the US YM to display chat rooms for my region.
On a strange note, in my region’s YM, I can create chat rooms like the old YM.

Well, everyone voice ignoring the user should suffice and allow you to get them back as listeners.
We seem not to understand each other but thank you anyways for the explanation and the help 🙂

Ill check tommorow.Again thanks.
That didnt work….Still shows the US chat rooms.
Another test: Im going to download my country’s version of YM and see if it shows up correctly in a VM machine.riahc3Member@Ven0m 237812 wrote:
You change the preferred content when logged into http://edit.yahoo.com or where ever else (find the My Account link).

Update to SP3.
Update to IE7/IE8.
See if it will install in a fresh new virtual machine.riahc3Member@Ven0m 237779 wrote:
They’re using voice domination programs. However this “domination” is weak against a separate attack called “mass ignore”. What mass ignore does it logs in bots into chat to get the VCAuth and voice chat (these bots then log out of the room retaining voice chat) and what they do is all ignore the “dominating” user on voice at once. What this does (and the way Yahoo has it set up) is the more ignores you get, the less your “key up” (broadcasting to all and/or over everyone else) power is reduced enough to where the dominating person loses the ability to key up over everyone else until a refresh.
Now, people also uses the same idea as mass ignore to load up a lot of voice bots and give the dominating person all the listening voice bots, which does increases the person’s power to dominate the mic. Again, there’s ways around this and nothing really can undermine the power of ignore in this case.
I’m aware of several techniques that can beat mass ignore for the most part and allow you to hog the mic endlessly. However, I will not divulge and of these techniques.
Want my advice? It’s completely pointless to want to take the mic away from somebody else. Just tell the room to iggy the person and question and get on with normal chatting. 🙂
Thank you for the great explaination 🙂

The problem with this advice is that most people dont give a **** about what you say anymore. So if you want to speak or play a song….Its worthless.

If several people ignore you on voice for broadcasting music or otherwise then you will lose gain and people will be able to overpower you on voicechat.
Yahoo! put this in places a long time ago to stop mic hoggers.
On a serious note and you just want to talk ok with some malicious user locking down the mic then you can try the folowing.
You can get several programs that boost gain that stays but at the end of it all it just makes it stronger, not inflammable.
I suggest you google “Yahoo! Voice Domination”
Didnt understand most of your post except the google part…
Its really annoying how people hog the mic and dont release it.riahc3MemberCan we expect any updates to this in the near future?
riahc3MemberWhere can we download Yahoo Menu 6 updates? I lost the link
