MemberI am going to guess that you mean for Mirc File Servers.
I will give you a list here of the commands and what all of them mean and what they do ๐Most Common Navagation Commands[/b]
ls–list
ls which stands for list, is a command that allows you to see what directory you are currently in, and what folder/filles are there. This usually lists the files left to right. To use the list command just type ls.dir – Directory
This command does the same deal as the ls command, but lists the files top to bottom. To use the directory command type dir.cd – Change Directory
This command is what lets you move from one folder to the next. For example say you are in the main directory. You already used the ls or dir commands to see what other files/folders you could access. So you find a folder called “Stuff” and you want to enter that folder so you can see what files are offered in there. Then you would type this: cd Stuff That will allow you to access that folder.Get – Download
This is the command that some Fserves use to download files from their server. Once you find a file you would like to download, for example we will call this file “example.mp3”. What you would do is type the following: get example.mp3.Most Common Information Commands[/b]
who – Who else is on the Fserve
This command lets you see who else is currently accessing the same Fserve as you. To use this command just type whostats – Fserve Statistics
This command lets you access information about the Fserve such as, How many times it was accessed, How many files it has sent, and usually records, or most popular downloads. To use this command simply type stats.queues – Line of people waiting to download
Since everything on IRC fserves can’t be quick get and send there is que list that you might have to wait in till the Fserve has an open slot. This also helps in letting you know how long it will take for you to start your download, and also what number in line you are. queues is the command you would use for this function.clr_queues – Clears your downloads in que
This command is here incase you accidently set to download a file, that didn’t start downloading yet and is in line in the que list. The command removes the downloads you have set. To use it type clr_queues.terms – Fserve Rules
This command is accessed by typing terms. This usually brings up a file text on the page that explains the rules of the fserver, or some sort of important notice that the owner of the fserve would like its downloaders to know. It is always a good idea to check the terms before you download anything from the server.read – Accessing text files
This command is used when you notice a text file in the main directory. For example we will use “readme.txt”. The command is used like this: read readme.txt. This is another common way that owners of the fserve will have their terms or rules viewable, without actully downloading the .txt file.sends – Current files being sent
This lets you see what files are currently being sent by the fserver. This becomes very useful when your set in a que line, so you know when the next file is done, and you can move up in the line. Like the others to use this command just type sendsI hope this has answered your question, but if it hasn’t it’s still very informative to someone who might wonder what those commands mean. If anyone wants to know any other commands that I missed, please make a post and I will edit my post and added it to the list ๐ Hope I helped.

MemberI wouldn’t think there was anyway to change the AIM code to make the window non-primary. Once you close the window I am not sure exactly you could go about finding who msged you. Maybe a logger program could log the name when they try to communicate? I am not sure, I do no use any logging programs myself? Just a logical guess, i’d also be interested in finding if there is anything that will help that problem
Slum
MemberI was looking for other free programs that will serve as a logger, and also be compatable with AIM 5.x. DeadAim also has a logging feature. According to the website I was reading, it said that DeadAim was fully functional with AIM 5.x. Although again i never tested it on my own AIM. Perhaps it’s something to look into…
You can check out the website I found it at here: DeadAIM

MemberI agree, hopefully this will end quickly with the least amount of harm done.
Thanks for the link Jeff, it is really quite interesting. It awful that Salam has to go through such a horrible thing ๐

MemberI think it would be pretty hard to find a way to expand a subprofile, since most of them are web-based and run off their Servers. Which means you woud have to change it from their Server… highly unlikely.
I have no idea if this would work, since I never tested anything, but its just a thought. What if you created 2 subprofiles, and linked them in the Opening Main Text of your Main Sub profile, I am not sure if it would stay in the same info box or would force your into IE or Netscape. I guess its worth a shot, but thats the only logical way that I can think around that problem ๐
I hope I helped a little, if anyone knows any other ways, just throw them on up… I’ll try to do a little research on it

MemberI kinda tend to not like these kinda shows that try to “breed” music icons… Its a pretty cool concept tho, and if it makes someone’s dreams come true, then that is awesome. I’m not really into the Pop Scene tho, whatever floats ๐

MemberI was playing around with some things and I found a way to do it without using aimutation.
You will need to get a program called the ‘Resource Hacker’… Already you should have created the picture you would like to be the replacement picture. Save this file as a .gif
Then make sure you have AIM closed all the way… then run the resource hacker program. Go to “File”, then to Open. From here navagate through your folders to the AIM95 Folder, usually located in the Program Files folder. Then open the file that is called aimres.dll.
This will bring up a file tree on the right side of the program. Go to GIFDATA > 103 then click the little file that shows.
Then go back up to your Tool bar and click “Action” and then pick “Replace Other Resource”
From here it will bring up a new pop up window… you want to click the button that says “Open File With New Resource”. And browse your computer for the .gif file that you want to replace.
Then it will ask you to fill a few things in.
For the “Resource Type” box enter: GIFDATA
For the “Resource Name” box enter: 103
For the “Resource Language” box enter: 1033All that does is sets the new .gif to be the default image in the .dll file
After your done go to File > Save
Its a little bit more work than just replacing it through Aimutation… but I personaly think it looks a bit cooler that its changed on the standard AIM skin. Its all up to you if you wanna do this or the Aimutation way, both will get the job done.
Oh Jeeze I forgot to add the address to download the ResHacker, Thank God for Edit :p

MemberIn the new .3b version of Aimutation (http://www.aimutation.com), they changed the opening loading picture to their logo.
On their site they said that they will soon be setting up a page to teach you how to make your own skins… I’m not sure exactly the file name specifications needed to change it, does anyone have a clue?
If not blinkrocker, try asking someone from the Aimutation forum

MemberAOL actully has a Help/FAQ that deals with AOL talk. I don’t know if this will help you… but its worth a look at.
I’d say if it doesn’t help you, it might be a scripting error/bug, you might want to try downloading AIM again, if not a newer version.
Here is that website:

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by magistykThere are many other servers you could use as well,
such as EFnet and such.Efnet is really good, you might also wanna try Relicnet, they have a small mp3 file trading rooms… but mostly Relicnet supplies more Divx movies/cracked programs.
Since I use the Undernet Server I sometimes use #mp3passion there are a lot of different kinds of music, and a lot of file servers… makes things a little bit quicker ๐ -
