Well that is the most obvious way of finding out… but if they happen to be spying, or trying to pull a prank of some sort… I’m sure they won’t come right out and tell you.
The Only thing you could try would be People > Find a Buddy. You would have to know their email address, or if your lucky they might have a “Searchable Directory” set up… Then you could search their name… but that is the least likely way. It’s not a Definate solution, but it could help you.
This Topic should be posted in the AIM Forum. For posting in the future please post questions in the set forums. This will help you get your answer quicker, than posting it in a different forum.;)
Anyway to answer your question. You could always go to your AIM click People > Find Buddy > By E-mail Address, I am assuming that you know this person’s Email. If not, you could try to find the SN by typing in the person’s personal information, via People > Find Buddy > By Name & Address, but this find will only work if the person you are trying to find has setup a Directory Entry for AIM.
For Random search you could search for buddies by going to “People > Find Buddy > By Common Interest” Enter an Intrest of your own and search it to find people who also share those interests.

After seeing Linkin Park in concert for the Summer Sanitarium tour… I would have to say Crawling and In the End, they were most likely the best songs they did live.
I’m pretty sure that the Transparent feature only works with XP… I don’t think that it is supported in ME and lower…
If you’re using AIM forwarding you cannot change the away messages that pops up when someone messages you while it is running. The IM forwarding reply is off of the AOL servers and can’t be changed.
As for your problem with their website… I never had any problems with their site. Make sure that your password is correct, and if it is contact their support, and see if anything can be done about it.
Just an idea for ya rockerjock. If your really serious about opening this website for that reason… I think your going about it all the wrong way. Perhaps by starting a test website where people can send their IM names and passwords with out posting them. Pretty much by posting them in the Forum, your giving anyone and everyone who has seen this topic the chance to login under that screen name, and could cause a bit of trouble. Another problem could be someone changing the password before you get chance to even see that someone had replied a SN. Just a thought.

Nope, AIM Profiles do not support any pictures other than Webdings and Wingdings that Jeff had mentioned. Only way around it would be to use pixel monster or a subprofile. You could make the link open up in the AIM today window for a little twist if you wanted to. You can find out how to do that here
