MemberI use IRC a lot, Mostly the Undernet Server, I used to be an IRCop before they re-coded cservice. I mainly stick to local channels, don’t really reach out into the world of IRC strangers 🙂

MemberNope Jeff, I installed AIM 5.1.3036 after I did a format of my computer. The only thing that I installed was the .2b Aimutation, and thats when it just decided to give me a pop up that forced me to close AIM. It happened most when i was sending an IM to someone.
I installed .3b tonight, and so far so good.. Hopefully I’ll be alright nowSlum

Thats a little vague of a question but I think this topic will help you out DJmo21:

MemberI had a username a long long long time ago… possibly around 5 or so years back, I tried last night to connect to it after reading this, and it came up that there was no username in the system for it, I’ll try to reregister it and see if it was just an error on my part or if over that time they removed them.

MemberI checked their Forums for Aimutation.com… I didn’t see any similar problems, but I didn’t try to post anything because I was under the impression that you had to register to 545 studios to use their technical support, I’ll keep checkin back over there tho, Thanks Tracer

MemberYou could always break it down into steps? Or if she is close like twistedmetal said, you can always just go reconfig it for her

MemberYea, AIM is good for some reasons and bad for others. It depends what the people you talk to use… see most of my friends use AIM and to keep in touch throughout colleges, thats the major means to talk. I guess I am saying its good for what its worth
Slum
MemberIts possible for the person you are talking to to insert their IP address, there is no way that I know that you can get someone’s IP address… but if there was I don’t understand why you would need someone’s IP address, and I’m pretty sure nobody would post it on the Forums if there was…

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by matttrenBut my question is Why does everyone make a big issue out of Buddy Icons and Smily faces, seriously.
Everyone has their own opinion on what to discuss on the forums. You have your’s they have their own. Nobody is forcing you to read the posts about the subjects, or even using them on your own AIM.
The Forum is here for anyone’s questions of anything that involve AIM, not just technical things.

MemberFrom the rumors that I have been hearing through out the net, it seems as if AOL will soon follow Case… lets hope that they stay rumors
Slum
MemberI suppose its all your own preference… I only use one since I made it.
Slum
MemberWell if you go into the AOL chatrooms, I’m not quite sure how you can avoid the spam IM’s… Since your name appears to the person that is running the clones, anyone have an answer to that?
Slum
MemberThere isn’t a way through AIM to make them look ‘grayer’… Although you might want to try adjusting your contrast/brightness… That is the only thing I could think of besides, trying to redownload the AIM program… perhaps it is a script error?
Slum
MemberYea I am pretty sure too thats what happend to you… Since your buddy list is saved on the AOL servers.. if they go down your left in the cold 🙂
Slum
MemberNevermind, I figured out what was the problem… I was trying to use Geocities as the place to host my files… and since Geocities has those ads that pop up, it wasn’t working. All is well, thanks anyway!:)
