MemberAIMutation is not compatible with the latest AIM 5.5.3501 beta only AIM 5.1.X through 5.5.3415
For best results with AIMutation use the current version of AIM 5.2.3292

MemberNot that I am aware of … if a you have a smiley displayed in your IM window the bartcache file will just reappear under the 1024 folder.
Tracer
MemberIt stores the Smileys you see displayed as well as if you use AIM expressions they are also stored there.
Tracer
MemberYou will have to hack your registry to fix this problem or just go to the current version of AIM 5.2 instead of the BETA version.

MemberI wouldn’t fret.. it looks like AOL is having server issues again…
Tracer
MemberTwo different networks, they don’t talk to each other. Download AIM and get a free screen name so you can talk to your buddy via AIM.
Tracer
MemberThat sort of problem happens from time to time with AOL. Usually indicates they are having server problems. Your buddies don’t show (including yourself) because the buddy list is actually stored on AOL’s servers. This problem can be any where from a few hours to several days.

MemberWhen will the music industry learn:confused: Sure they are loosing some money from some file sharing technologies out there but, that isn’t the only reason. The quaility of music has gone down, I’m tired of buying CDs only to find one song I like and the rest of the CD to be total crap.
Instead of fighting new technology they need to learn to embrace the new technology. So what the music isn’t on a shinny 5 inch disk. Just like the radio stations that play music have to pay royalties to the recording industry, there should be a royalty fee for downloading music. So companies that provide file sharing services like Kazza and Napster pay royalties like everyone other business that uses music.
Suing users isn’t working, suing file sharing services like Kazza and Napster isn’t working. It’s time the music industry stops blaming file sharing services for the public’s interest in not buying CDs and look at what they are really trying to sell us.

MemberIt’s good to hear that I”m not the only one the thinks the new 5.5 betas stink. 😡
AOL really needs to start listening to the user community and not some marketing guy in a suit and tie.

MemberJust because a program was offered as free on the creator’s website at one time, in this case jdennis.net, doesn’t give anyone the right to offer it for download on other sites or file sharing services. The reason is Jim Dennis still holds the copyright on his products, the same is true with other programmers. Now if he says it’s okay (permission) for the old version(s) to be offered on other sites then it is.
Sometimes users mistake freeware and shareware meaning they can do anything they want with the programs. However if they take the time to read those readme EULAs that come with most programs when you install them you will find that the only thing they are allowing you to do is install it on your PC.
