Well, promotion or not. Yahoo! Just opened a rather large can of worms.

Like most things yahoo!, they allow you to access that page via a set cookie, time to info some names 😀
Once I get most of the bugs out of it, I will probably redo the GUI, to make it more sensable.
But that is why I want to beta test it before its major release, user feed back is the best way to make a good program, great.
Certainly, I got this idea from a program made about 2 years ago for aim.
Called Super Aim (hence Super Y!).

Yahoo! has implimented a new security measure when posting profiles…
I have not found the key yet to get by it…
I even tried using SSL, to do a secure login.. but nothing.
I am still working on it, as well as a few other projects.
Which should be released within a 1-two weeks.
One is Skintastic, My Messenger Skinning Application, It allows you to
create your own skins, easily… ( Will post screen shots of it in a few days)
The Other is Super Y!, which tabs all open Yahoo! IM’s so your screen
isn’t full of them.

Just a thought,
but, open up your registry, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREYahooPager
And check the ConnServer
make sure it is set to scs.msg.yahoo.com
Check the hostname,
hostname=scs.msg.yahoo.com
Check Port,
Port=5050
Check IPlookup,
IPLookup=216.136.173.161,216.136.173.162
Also, create a new dword value of SendPortCheck
w/ a value of 1
If that doesnt work, post how you networked the three computers, if it was a router/hub.
What kind of router/hub
etc. etc.
From your post, saying you did a system restore, I am assuming that you are using Windows XP?Yes, Yahoo! Upgraded to YMSG 12, not too much different w/ login though.
Just append theuser cookie to the normal login string.
And it should log in fine…

When you sign up for a Yahoo! account via their web page,
They use these links to in a sense create the account.
So by using these links, you can bypass all that normal crap,
And create an ID, w/ out the secure word, I believe.
I am still messing around with it..
But it seems pretty cool.

Something you typed in the Window did not filter out correctly when converting it into yahoo!’s IE based text pane.

when your change your marital status you have only that list provided,
when the raw data is posted it is changed into a number value 0-6 I believe.
I tried changing it to 7 or putting text in and it wouldnt work.
Also, for the Age trick, the Age actually can be up to 32 characters.
Also when creating a nickname through raw output it is possible to make
the Nickname Longer than it is supposed to be…..
Currently the Program will tweak the following,
1.) Nicknames.
2.) Age trick.
3.) Change Alias Profiles As Well..
(Searching the net for the color change trick, I lost it in a format)I am also trying to impliment the Change Language Feature as well.
Although, I am not too sure if that is necessary, since the data will be posted raw, instead of going through the profiles manually.
But I am hopefully going to add that option.
