There is A glitch with the new Messenger ( 6.0 ) that will do this. I’ve had it do it a few times. I believe it has something to do with their new banning techniques ( which are by no meens done correctly, BLAH ). Either way, I don’t believe it’s done by anyone cracking the account
Are you or your friend using YTunnel? Settings in YTunnel will automatically reject add buddy requests
Also are either of you using Yahoo 6.0
If so I have noticed a glitch in it, that if one of the user’s is offline, it will automatcially reject add buddy request’sI have had this happen several times with my friends
I’ve even been able to add them and they never knew it, and vice versa
Yes I’m new and honestly the little boy has a serious attitude, but o well could care less, anyways unsakred, regardless what anyone has to complain about are they yahoos skins recolored or not, it’s not as if we are seeing many other people that can create or ( modify ) skins for Yahoo so keep up the work, so far all the skin’s look good
If it is just a matter of it being the skins, you might could try this:
goto startmenuRun
Regedit
HKey_Current_UserSoftwareYahooPagerdefaults
Under default you will see a key with the value:Indigoindigo.xml
double-click that and delete the Indigoindigo.xml and leave the value blank.then goto:
HKey_Current_UserSoftwareYahooPagerProfiles
Locate the ID that you use and click it
After that you will see under your Profile Name a key called(YBSkin)
select that key and look over and you will see two values((VBSkinName)) double-click and delete the skin it has shown and leave value blank
((VBSkinned)) double-click and change its value to 0
After which Load Yahoo and it should no longer have a skin enabled
Selecting default to blank will make the skins revert to whatever skin your last logged in name skin was used .Havent never had a problem with error’s but doesnt hurt to give it a shot
What I had an idea and I have them saved here somewheres was, I went to my own account info switched all the languages going thru the agree boxes and saving each link that it listed and then inserting them, granted itd be alot of code to insert but it worked for what I was doing, but who knows, Yahoo has been trying to change so much one can never tell
I have the new messenger and sometimes it’s done that to me as well but after doing it a few times it has deleted them. Plus I always goto the Yahoo/Messenger Folder and clean out my cache folder and also delete the groups configuration settings files from the Messenger folder. And A few other things but I wont get into that
Exactly. Just set a checkox giving user option to switch his/her language back if they choose to after they are done editing. Not sure about the cookies though. I’m stabbing in the dark here and probably way off as im not sure exactly how id would work, but maybe theres a way to pull the cookie much in the same way the java apps out there do? I’m probably wrong but hey never know till its tried, but I shall look into it and offer what I can
I’d say the the whole profile, before I moved I was on dial up and trying to load yahoo’s pages always took too long compared to profile apps. I also agree that you should add a combo box or whathave you to allow selection of all the languages. Also I really don’t know what all you have included, but an option once your profile is edited and say you click Ok to close the program, it could switch your language back if let’s say you have a checkbox asking a user if they would like it changed or not. I had started a profile app awhile back and after working on my own yahoo client I discarded the idea for now, but they are good to have
I agree. There isn’t any stopping the Booter’s, Yes you can slow them down, but once they find you all they will do is go at you alot worse and not too mention, drag every known booter god wannabe into it till you cant even mention your name in chat, LOL. Anyways personally it doesn’t matter to me that the sites stay up, in fact I have my own client and have given it to many people, and it hasn’t been booted yet and look sand feels just like messenger. What I get from the booter sites is code from these booter’s so that I can update my code every once in awhile to block em even better. So in truth the booter sites have helped me greatly, not too mention honestly some of your best programmer’s are some of the booter creators, they just tend to create bad instead of good, but by studying their codes and what have you I have learned a great deal about how yahoo works. So I guess to each his own, if you want to close the sites down so be it, but just remember the very best of them will never be shut down. People have tried and as of yet there has not been one day I have ever seen them down, not too mention Some of your very well known Programming sites post code every day to teach the ( woohoo I just downloaded visual basic and i’m gonna be a programmer !!) kids out there.
No. I’m talking about the tabs.bmp. The one with the set of tab’s laid over each other. The large tabs ( Like Room Header’s) I have , just the set of tabs, on the tabs.bmp is givin me pains. With Yahoo separating them at intervals and laying them over each other, it makes it a pain. Appreciate you responding , man

First, I’m no graphics expert and I’m wondering how everyone is doing the tab bitmap. No matter what I do it looks ugly as blah. Just wondered what I can use that will help me make em to match my skin’s. Second I’m wondering have you tried any to allow the Background image that comes with 6.0 ( nofriends.htm ). I know there has to be a way since the default for having noone on your buddylist displays a background image. I have tried everything to get it. After many hours of using reshack on all the yahoo files, searching through the registry,……… I still can’t find where it may be, Have you had any luck at all?
