MemberYeah, you could do it…while the forum program was compiling the active topics for a certain person, it could just check each active topic to see who made the last post…if it is the person who is calling for active topics, then it would just skip over that topic without adding it to the active topic list. *nod* This could be really easy to build into the active topics script, or hard depending on how its set up.

MemberThey Give such a fresh, clean, original look to the site though. I think the menus make BigBlueBall.com into the best looking site I’ve ever[/b] seen in my life….really, Awsome job Jeff!
Zlink123
MemberThe menus are awsome!!! But Configurable would be nice…if it isn’t to much of a hassle for you.

MemberCan we have a solution? lol

MemberThats very interesting….looks pretty nice actually….shows how much I know. :p

MemberNo, it wasn’t that….here is a blurb from one place where there are rumors “14:49 Rumour on the Net is suggesting that Age Of Empires developer Ensemble Studios is actually working on yet another instalment in the highly regarded RTS franchise.
Age Of Discovery, as it is being called, will apparently be built on the engine used for the upcoming Age Of Mythology game, and will feature around 50 single-player missions and a number of nations…..”I hope they are right!

MemberNice, nice…..I’ve always wanted an ascii image converter. Ascii art is great, nothing like a little bit of ascii art to spice up the header of some document, or program…or conversation gone bad. :p

MemberComputermigit, wiredbots doesn’t teach the perl language, it just provides a very nice base for an AIM bot written in perl using the net::AIM module. If you want to learn perl (You do!!) go to http://www.perl.com or http://www.perldoc.com or even better yet, go out and get the book Learning Perl[/b] by Randal L. Schwartz and Tom Phoenix. That will set you on your way to writing an AIM bot in perl (among [millions of] other things). If you make it through that book and still feel like you want to learn perl, then get Programming Perl[/b] by Larry Wall (The maker of perl!!), Tom Christiansen, and Jon Orwant. If you make it through that beast, you are well on your way to knowing perl. Now you should be able to start working on an AIM bot. :p

MemberI don’t like Trillian as an IRC client because its not just an IRC client. It doesn’t have the IRC extras like mIRC does (a scripting language!) and its not as customizable as I would like.

Memberlol…go RustedTight, I’m not crazy enough to try assembler. I’d rather just stick with perl and other scripting languages. C too (not yet though!). :p

MemberI tried windows update, and that didn’t help. Then I tried just opening up winhelp.exe and it did the same as when I try to open a help file. Loads for a split second and then nothing happens, no error message or anything.
Zlink123
MemberI tried that, and it didn’t work, thanks for the suggestion though Jeff. I have windows Xp home. Whenever I try and open up a help file, it loads for a split second and then nothing happens. Hopefully that little tid bit of information will help someone in finding a solution for my problem.
Thanks again,Zlink123
MemberThough the new version of AIM (5.0) doesn’t have a logging feature, you can save all of your conversations if you want. That is what i did for a while, but it gets really anoying. Also, MyIM found at http://home.rochester.rr.com/artcfox/MyIM/Download.html has a logging feature, unfortunately, MyIM doesn’t work with any of the AIM 5.0 versions.

MemberThe error message is “signing on again to soon, please try again later”
