C:WINDOWSUSER32.DLL. Access is denied. I press OK and te setup shuts off.Thank you for ur time help would be appreciated.
Are you positive it says C:WINDOWSUSER32.DLL? Because, if I’m not mistaken, I believe USER32.DLL would normally be located in C:WINDOWSsystem32USER32.DLL.
If the error really does point to C:WINDOWSUSER32.DLL, then you could try copying the USER32.DLL file in the system32 file into the WINDOWS directory. If you do this, make sure you leave the original USER32.DLL file in place, and just make a copy of it to the new location. I’m not sure I’d really advise this, because obviously something is going on that isn’t right. Screwing with files within Window’s “Special Area” has proven to be pretty costly in too many cases. Windows doesn’t like people messing with it’s insides.
Zlink123MemberDo you have an administrator’s account?
Zlink123MemberAfter you all check out Google Moon, you should definitely head to the Google Earth page and check it out. That way, once you’ve had your fill of the moon you can turn the tables and imagine what the Earth looks like from the moon…or at least sortof from the moon. 😉
Zlink123MemberPersonally, I tend to shy away from AIM addons all together. I figure, why bother when gaim can do pretty much everything that most AIM addons promise (ie: Tabs, Logging, Incoming message format filtering, No Ads)? The only thing it doesn’t have is the remote access system, but who really needs that now with the ability to sign on in multiple places? Plus, it’s got it’s own plugin system with Perl compatibility.
As for my favorite AIM site, look in your address bar. 😉
Zlink123MemberCheck out the second Rant at http://www.illwillpress.com , It’s also pretty fricken halarious. Thanks for the link mrblonde608.
P.S. – Can I make a suggestion? Mods, either lock this topic or stop feeding the fire (*looks at DJ*). Lets all get back on topic.
Zlink123MemberAre you using MSPaint to edit your icons? Because, if you are, you’re right, there is no way you will get any higher detail. But, if you use photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, you will be able to achieve a much higher detail level.
Zlink123MemberObviously, people DO use it. Just because no one you know does, doesn’t mean no one uses it. There is a whole world out there, you know.
Zlink123Member*puts his feet up on the desk and leans back* Yep, we’ve got it reaaaaaaall hard. 😉 …Of course, you forgot to mention who *normally* brings in the cash, although, that is definitely not going to be the case for long.
Zlink123MemberI’m curious, did you make the folders? If you’re running XP Pro with permissions enabled and another user somehow placed a folder into your desktop folder, then you wouldn’t be able to delete it. This would explain the access denied, right?
Zlink123MemberI’d say keep the sickos in Jail. And then, when we start running out of room (which we already are) we can start upgrading sentences, such as 5 life sentences with no chance of parole, to the death penalty. I mean, what is the point of keeping these people alive?
Zlink123MemberI doubt alana’s router was defective, it was probably just set to change her IP address every 24 hours.
Zlink123MemberRustedtight, I think Anna was just having some fun…. And anyways, who cares what they look like..they heal health!
Zlink123MemberSome subprofiles do not allow you to access subprofiles unless you use the AIM browser. In order to bypass this feature you have to construct a link with HTML and then insert it into an AIM profile (yours if you want). So, for instance, say the link David gave went to a site that only allowed users to view subprofiles from the AIM profile viewer. The link would be blah blah link text .
Beware though, if you do put this in your profile, us it and then delete it….if people look at their info they will see that you are messing with other peoples’ profiles :pZlink123MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by DavidQuote:quote:Originally posted by Zlink123The “systeminfo” command is non-existent on my computer, are you sure this came with your operating system? Or is it maybe an XP pro tool only?
Hmm
open CMD
type CD
now type CD WINDOWSSYSTEM32
now try SYSTEMINFOTried that before, didn’t work. There is no .exe or .bat file on my computer that is called “systeminfo”. Are you absolutely sure this isn’t an XP pro only feature?
Zlink123Member^exotic fruit farmer, who wears a winter hat in the tropics….or grows exotic tropical fruits in the north. O_o
