April 24, 2004 at 5:31 am #86158shifterMemberTwosteps, have a look at my Viperbot Basic Tutorial to get started using Vipers basic features.
Thanks for understanding how forums work guys. I get alot of underappreciative comments from some I’ve tried to help and failed. I can only help what I know. [:P]
April 26, 2004 at 1:55 pm #86147Jeff HesterKeymasterShifter,
Thanks for the information….I look forward to sifting through it and hopefully finally getting my bot operational……..again Thanks !
April 26, 2004 at 4:07 pm #86146Jeff HesterKeymasterShifter,
ok…got the basic tutorial down…or so I think, but now when I attempt to log back in I am getting the blue viperbot screen as opposed to the purple groups page. I believe you addressed this issue in a previuos post. I attempted what you suggested in that post but with no luck……lol…was working before …eeeeekkkkk…:). I guess I will uninstall all and try to start from scratch unless you have any other suggestions. Thanks,
Twosteps…(backwards it seems):pApril 26, 2004 at 5:43 pm #86157shifterMemberFrustrating when that happens. It could be that MSN changed its Chat protocols again (which means Viperbot will need an update). I don’t see any new updates available for Viper, so your best bet at the moment is to uninstall and reinstall. Good luck!
April 26, 2004 at 6:53 pm #86145Jeff HesterKeymasterShifter,
I uninstalled and reinstalled programs and still no luck. The screens start flashing when in viper and am getting this message when in viper and register ocx’s “No new instances of Viper,Script, and IE will not have guest_null problem”……..guess updates are needed….cant believe that would be the case because other bots still working in other comms. Maybe so though…..again thanks for your help and will keep trying and looking for the answers. 🙂
April 26, 2004 at 8:27 pm #86156shifterMemberMake sure you’ve followed all reinstall steps exactly, its easier to miss one the second time through.
Also, please refrain from posting about how many posts you have or need to get a certain ranking. It’s not welcome here and I’ve removed yours. This topic is for Viperbot only. Thanks!
April 26, 2004 at 9:23 pm #86150Jeff HesterKeymastermy mistake…i will refrain…was just a joke with regards to earlier posts…sheeesh…..will take questions and comments elsewhere.

April 26, 2004 at 10:32 pm #86155shifterMemberJokes are fine, but try to include them with your relevant post instead of spamming. I obviously missed the humour in your post, but thanks for trying. 😀 No need to be a diplomatvienna. [:P]

May 19, 2004 at 2:49 pm #86252buffiyumMemberShifter,
i see where you mentioned that the download was fixed but as of this date (may 18) I am not finding this works yet for me. I keep getting this message: a required .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL was not found.
another message behind that one states that in the creat process code 1157 appears as an error.
also it tells me that one of the library files needed to install the program could not be found.
really need this viperbot could you help?May 19, 2004 at 5:04 pm #86154shifterMemberYou likely are missing the Visual Basics Runtime Modules on your system. It includes the MSVBVM60.DLL that you are missing.
May 20, 2004 at 6:25 am #86251buffiyumMemberthank you for the help so far. this is probably going to seem pretty silly but in truth I donot know all that much about computers yet so here goes… I get as far in downloading all the viper things as, MSNCONNECTIONVPROXYDLL and then when it goes to install it I get this message: the file didnot have program associated with it for performing this action.
create an association in my computer, click view and click folder options.
unfortunately I have not any idea what folder ‘to use’ when I get that far 🙁
could I ask what folder option would be best to use at that point for this? thank you.May 20, 2004 at 5:06 pm #86153shifterMemberIt just needs to be registered I believe. If you go into your C:Program FilesViperBot and find the file, you should be able to just right-click and choose Register. Let me know if that works or not. I don’t have the exact location of the file in front of me, but it should be in one of the folders in the ViperBot folder.
June 2, 2004 at 10:38 pm #86249El DiabloMemberQuestion, is there a possibility to have viperbot on perminent in your groups without actually reconnecting every time you sign-in?
Like run it off a different site… I dunno. -
