um… ok well, give imchaos.com a look-see… you CAN insert a picture into your profile… it’s just not always gonna turn out like you want it to… let me see if I can find my link to it somewhere… and you can see what it looks like yourself…
ha, lil bit… sucker should roll itself down to 1-2k when you dump it to the tray… I’m working on a few ways to do it… hopefully, I’ve come up with an idea… but it’s going to make “dynamically” loading the new smileysets pretty difficult… ahh, maybe I’ll stop being so cryptic and just get to work… thanks for the input
I might be wrong here… but isn’t the password stored in the registry then?… I’d say give this a shot…
1. Open up the registry… (start… run… “regedit”)
2. Navigate to the ScreenName Key… ([HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger (TM)CurrentVersionUsers*** Your ScreenName ***Login])
3. Right-click on the Login Key and choose export… and save the file somewhere where you can find it quickly…
4. Take this file over to another computer…
5. Install AIM
6. Exit out of AIM completely…
6. open this file (just double-click on it)
7. Say “yes” when it asks you to verify
8. Open up AIM… your screen name should be there… WITH the password saved…it’s not the same as recovering the password… but it’s much easier… let me know… if all else fails… maybe I can write another “password recoverer”… I just don’t like the idea of making it easier for people to get at other people’s SN’s… you know?
ok well the whole sending to the IM business automatically seems not be not THAT bad normally… but if you’re running deAdAIM then it causes problems… are many of you guys employing the tabbed windows offered by it?… if not, no prob.
Lol, alright, to clear up any further misunderstanding… that lil blue running man is meant to be a way to ask for quick help… you don’t have to try to post to forums/email etc… but you can always feel free to click on him if you’re curious… holla!
hmmm, that’s odd… anyways… those shortcuts are the same as in AIM… for the “:-)” code… press ctrl+1 while my app is in focus… it still doesn’t insert the smilie automatically… but it is now copied to the clipboard… hope that helps… have fun.
there’s an app out there called “smilez” which does what I think you want… check into it… http://users.mnemonic.net/freeezer/programs.html
