AIM forwarding no longer work with Virgin Mobile and most prepaid phones. However, it does work with AT&T Free 2 go prepaid phones.

I do not think you can forward messages to Altell phones any longer. I know it works with almost every phone with a plan. It may not work with some prepaid phones such as Virgin Mobile. But it does work with AT&T Free 2 Go prepaid phones. If you go to http://www.AIM.com and check under the IM forwarding section, it will tell you which phones are compaitible with Forwarding.

You may want to try old versions of DeadAIM, which you can get at http://www.oldversion.com . Another program that has the same features as DeadAIM is AIM+, which is available at http://www.download.com .

The problem is that you have a virus scanner of some sort scanning your files. When the scanner scans a file in your AIM directory, it creates this error. Myself, I have Avast antivirus, and the error occurs when my scanner scans a file in my AIM directory. I suggest you turn off your antivirus scanner while chatting. Some virus scanners scan automatically without you knowing. And the reason why you’re able to leave your AIM on all night is because your scanner finished scanning all the AIM files before you leave it on all night.
