I was just wondering if this were something built into AIM to prevent large transfers or whatever. I’m fairly sure that there isn’t anything wrong with my computer (in terms of harddrive space, RAM, or processing power)… I don’t really know what other factors would play a roleI know this has happened to other people in the past, but I can’t remember how they solved it
You shouldnt send large files over direct connect because it cant be resumed if something happens. you should do a file transfer.

possibly. This may happen if you are typing to fast and accidently hit alt+k which turns on the block prompt and you press ok.
you’ve been told wrong. there always has to be a certain kind of link in your profile where someone clicks on it for it to work.

i dont want to view their info. i want to view their profile. i dont know if you can see the profile but i cant. if they have an away message, it shows what their away message says, but not their profile
well i know its AIM’s fault beacuse i can use my webcam with Eyeball Chat. I upgraded my AIM to 5.9 and it still doesnt work. AIM sucks.

you have a trojan. It is probally optix pro. Any antivirus scanner would detect this. It is a really old trojan virus. The person cannot connect to your computer without the internet, so if you dont connect to the internet, they cant do anything. use a different computer to get an antivirus scanner, and install it on the infected computer. after it is deleted, then you can get online again.
