In my experience of “taking a break” it meant she need time to herself to think things through. It ended up being GOOD!=)
Have you tried opposite versions? Try a 5.5 version or 5.2. AIM 5.2 is probably the most stable.
You can get older versions from http://oldversion.com/program.php?n=aim
Start–>Search–>Triton.
This should come up with everything related to Triton. Just select all and delete.
Download and run AdAware first and see.

I ended up running “msconfig” then did a system restore to yesterday.
And just before it quit I had run Ad-Aware.

When promted in the regular version you can just unclick the setting saying “install AOL Explorer” or if you still want Triton try uninstalling AdHack that might be your problem.
