MemberThat is because it is the same patch (since that’s my site) 🙂

MemberI’ve just deleted 132 TMPxx.tmp files off that directory. It seems yahoo dev team has once again screwed up something in their code. I wonder if these people ever heard of product quality or testing, it seems that major bugs get skipped without them ever caring 😉

MemberAll this IFs are a headache. I can’t see how the usual user will actually bother to read all those “if-else-then”s. Personally I’m very happy that Yahoo! woke up and secured their servers better, for user privacy sake…

MemberYou can also try HyperIM for that 😉

MemberYes, the redimesnion algorithm allows 35 out of every 36 pixels of the big avatar to be irrelevant for the small image.
I have created a tiny program in C++ which does exactly this, allowing to generate “2 in 1” avatars 🙂Yahoo! Magic Avatar – 2 in 1 Yahoo! Messenger avatars generator

MemberHe’s talking about that stupid “Contacts Search Bar” that has an arrow in the right side that shows a dropdown of recently IM’ed contacts when clicked. Personally I have that toolbar closed for good (Messenger-> Show/Hide -> Contacts search bar) and there you go! no more MRU list.

Memberaneagle wrote:It would be time to change this thread to “Fake Idle No Longer Simple”. 😀
I tried FakeStatusMaker and HyperIM but no way to send the clock icon without text and make it look like the genuine v8 Idle status. Are you saying that you just want the clock icon without ANY status text? HyperIM adds by default “Idle” if you don’t put any text, but that is something that can be corrected very easy in code; I just thought that if no status exists then it should read “Idle” (maybe they changed that behaviour in v8.0, I only know this is how YM did it when I’ve last seen a true idle user with no custom status).

Memberguess wrote:Weird, you guys say it works but I can’t even right clock in the new status messege window..First of all it will not work in YM 8.0 if you manually put those characters in the status via Paste (Ctrl+V). You need to use some other app that will correctly send the right string, as this is no longer possible by usual user interface of YM 8.0. There are already two programs that will (try to) do this, you can find their names in the previous page, you need to use one of those, or try both if one does not work 😛

MemberHyperIM sends the right packets and also ASCII :p
Nick, here’s a hint: UTF-8. I won’t spoil it all…codneim
MemberHello.
Here’s my bomb reply: You CAN export all the Yahoo! IDs in your list to a text file.
The trick is to use HyperIM, double click the “Y! Robot” plugin to get to configure the answers. There you have a button called “Import YM groups”. This will create a text file with all the Groups and all the CONTACTS from Yahoo! Messenger (you should be logged in so that it can extract all the users from the YM instance). After you close that dialog you can find the text file by going to the folder “Program FilesHyperIMSettings_ybot.ini
There you will find them. There are a couple of lines that you should remove, but in rest, it only contains what you are looking for.Cheers.

MemberSome news here…
Latest version is HyperYM 1.32.7. At this moment the program supports seven major media players:
Windows Media Player
Winamp (and many other players/clones that emulate Winamp)
iTunes
BSplayer
foobar2000
jetAudio
QCD.Works with Y!M and Google Talk.
You can also have inversed countdowns (increasing timer), and calculation of time with direct input of a desired date and time.

MemberOk, the official english page for HyperYM is done.
http://numedecod.ro/hyperYM.php?l=en
You can also download from there latest BETA’s also. Latest beta is HyperYM 1.21 SE and (despite the name!) can change the status also in Google Talk. Some proposed the idea of changing the name in HyperIM, what do you people think? 🙂
codneim
MemberYou can also try HyperYM for that, and is also freeware. You can use customised answers for each contact and use dynamic answers, which can include random messages and over 10 “now playing” details from winamp, bsplayer or foobar2000. you can also autorespond with remaining time from a defined countdown time, and also current date and time.
Oh yeah, and you can define special answers for conversations that began with BUZZ!!.
See topic named HyperYM in this forum. Good luck. -
