MemberBasicly when people say stuff like that they are just trying to get their post count up. I think we (all BigBlueBaller’s) need to crack down on that.

MemberDavid: I know that you are a ‘Moderator’, and I know what your job is. I’ve only been here for a few months and from what I have seen so far you do a very good job. I just dont think this is nessesary:
“Intelligent people speak because they have something to say, Ignorant people speak because they have to say something.”I’m sorry if you thought that I dont “respect” you, because I do, but I just have a problem with you putting that.

lol
That added nothing to the thread. Please don’t post anything unless it adds information to the thread.
Quote:That comment added nothing to the thread. So far RadioPunker has had some good advise, and while his comment added nothing to the thread, neither did your little quote

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by TigerbladeQuote:quote:Can someone that knows a lot about TI-83 Plus calculators please help! here my problem:
When I try to receive programs from another calculator, I always get the same message. “error in Xmit” I checked the manual and none of the suggestions that they said applied to me. Can someone please tell me whats wrong? thanks in advance!you can only transfer games/programs from one calculator to another if they’re the same model number, OR if the one sending is a lower model number than the one receiving… so if you’re using a TI83+ and try to get a program from a TI89, it’ll give you that error… otherwise the cable isnt plugged in right, or you’re not doing the transmit procedure properly… if its not one of those, then it’s probably just a glitch with your calculator
and yeah, I had a LOT of games on my calculator at one time… most of them written by me or by friends. you think I was actually going to pay attention in calculus back in high school???
I know all of that. I was trying to transfer games from one TI-83 Plus to another one. Today I took my calculator apart, and I think I know what the problem is. Thanks everybody.

Maybe your link is bad, try a different link cable?

No, that isnt that cool, its pointless actually, and yes I do get mad when that happens. Its not ethical, that is that
