For the ones who can beat being ignored from the button in an IM, I can over come this, and have them perma-ignore if I manually add them to the list?
And turning off IM’s isn’t a fix, it’s just a work around. I use IM’s for a source of privicy from others in the chat. It sorta defeats the purpose.

I’m using Windows 98, and I am also not able to view the images.
When I navigate to: C:WINDOWSApplication DataMicrosoftMSN Messenger3302669727UserTile and rename the first one for example: TFR0025.dat to TFR0025.bmp, I get an error that says: “Paint cannot read this file. This is not a vaild bitmap file, or its format is not correctly supported.”
I would suggest to rename the image to a .jpg as it has that has seemed to work for me.

Ya see, that’s my problem. I want to close all .NET services including Messenger. My Hotmail address has expired, so I don’t need to worry about email, it’s just it still seems people are adding me to an older account. Obvisiously, when ever I sign into that account, I can tell them, or email them, but is there so simple way to delete the .NET services account associated with Messenger, along with Hotmail?
That link has nothing to do with what I asked. While she is at home, she can connect fine (using MSN 6) with no connection problems with Windows Messenger. It does not sign her out. Its fine. She is logged OUT when she leaves, but when she sign’s in on another computer, it then dissconnects her, saying that she has signed into another location.
Do you understand me now?
