Hope this helps everyone =)It does. Thanks for your contribution.
I’ll keep an eye open for those programs.DeadeyeMemberCan your friend from Taiwan use audio? Does any of you use firewall?
There are loads of people reporting audio problems, use the search function of the forums to look for similar topics. Tons of solutions have been suggested.DeadeyeMemberYes.
Open the MSN window. Go to tools/options. Then on the privacy tap you can see all the contacts that you have added.
Right click on them.
If the choice ”delete” can be clicked and is not gray, that means that the contact has deleted you and you’re not on their list anymore.
The rest have you on their list.-Edited- This was written when I only read the first post. Havent read the FAQ but its probablt no different from my reply. I think.
November 6, 2004 at 10:05 pm in reply to: How could a contact delete themself from my list?? #104076DeadeyeMemberHe sounds harmless to me.
Its easy to obtain someone’s IP and there’s absolutely nothing he can do with it. Oh yes…there is one thing you can do with an IP.
You can bluff to those who dont know much about computers.Relax. MSN is a very secure IM program, some Indian dude that talks hard shouldnt be a threat.
By the way, a real hacker never admits that he can hack. 😉
DeadeyeMemberDeadeye is a nickname, got it from my buds.
Just for the record, my eyes are perfectly healthy.DeadeyeMemberIt has been asked a kazillion times.
Make a search in the MSN forums and search through the solutions.Tip: the search button is above the logout button.
All we are saaaaayyyiiiing, is give the search button a chaaaance.
Okay, I’m done.November 6, 2004 at 10:17 am in reply to: How could a contact delete themself from my list?? #104075DeadeyeMemberAre you using MSN 7 by any chance?
There are tons of MSN hacks out there but I have never heard of this one before. They’re usually harmless so if I were you, I wouldn’t worry a bit.DeadeyeMemberThe safest way to do that is by using netstat.
I cant be bothered to explain this though, google it.
Why would you need an Ip anyway?DeadeyeMemberGoogle can do miracles.
Check this link, tell me if it helped: http://www.askmarvin.ca/forums/index.php?s=9303783ed885fe94ed987763afed9937&showtopic=664DeadeyeMemberYou received and ran an MSN hack.
No big deal, the playful contact of yours was fooling around.
He/she could have greater damage if they wanted to.
If you have an antivirus you can adjust it so that it will scan all transferred files for viruses/trojans. If you had done that earlier, MSN would notify you of the hack.DeadeyeMemberThanks it did, and spybot was probably my problem. Its all clear now.
Thank you all. -
