I turned a friend onto EmotePad and he thought it was great that he could put the emotes into the IM window.
So yes, can definitely see this program working for ty22.
Make your emotes/sentences, click one on the left, have it show up on the right, view tags, then copy and paste. If one tends to get long winded, much easier to c & p then re-type lol
I found I had problems with ytunnel booting up slowly etc because of the amount I had in the super iggy bin. I never did get to an all out freeze like you have.
The most I’ve had in there was about 15 thousand. Then I read that the bots/spammers will change their names from time to time, so you might not see ones from a year ago anymore anyways.
Maybe, you can go into Super Iggy Bin and scroll down the list to the bottom and see what the dates are and remove some of the old bots/spammers and see what happens. Maybe a month at a time, depending upon how long it’s been since you iggy’d them. If they happen to show up again, iggy them if you wish, but you might find you won’t have to re-iggy them all.

No, I’m not on a wireless. Actually am ultra high speed thru a division of my landline phone company.
What finally worked for me (touch wood – has been a couple weeks) is doing a custom uninstall (everything) of messenger … then I went into Internet Options and cleaned out the cookies and temporary files and before I downloaded version 6 from a reliable site I go to alot. I seemed to stay online pretty much after that. Have just “upgraded” to version 7, and so far, so good.
So, I wasn’t sure if it was just a glitch with yahoo themselves or my connection and OS and the messenger versions weren’t getting along. And I have always used “no proxies”, but when I was having the problems, I would try diff things to see if that helped.
Just thought I would give you an update. Thanks for your patience.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, that’s kind of neat. Didn’t know you could do that. I just tried logging in with an alias rather than the main ID and it worked :D. And I was doubtful it would happen seeing that I am still on vers 7.

Also, one thing that works for me when I don’t want to send a message to the whole group, just a select few or if you have your “friends” in diff groups for whatever reason …….
click on the first name you wish to send a message to, then hold down your CTRL key and click on the other names in the list, right click, and select “send an instant message”. Then those recipients will get the same message also.
I’m not sure about 8 as I haven’t gotten past vers 7 yet, but worth a try ??
I get this the odd time. I, too, have a high speed connection and have selected no proxies.
I had thought maybe it was just timing with the yahoo servers or something. But I’ve never had it go on for days at a time. Usually only for an hour tops.I had the same exact problem as lewisjr. Even going so far as being kicked off every 5 seconds or so for many minutes. Almost threw my pc out the window lol. And I figured this shouldn’t have been happening using ultra-high-speed connection thru my phone company.
What I did do was follow Dermot’s suggestion, deleted absolutely everything involved with yahoo thru that wizard, downloaded version 6 which worked great for me (touch wood). Thank you muchly Dermot.
Heard a rumour that yahoo would soon no longer support 6 so I made my way back up to 7.0.2.120 and still am staying put while online (smile) Now when the time comes that 7 is abandoned and I have to go to 7.5 or 8 ?? Wish me luck lol
Excellent work EmotePad !!!! I really liked the tutorial pages. Especially the one about the tags and putting the emotes into a PM box. Worked like a charm.

I too have this problem, but doesn’t matter which version I use, and it happens in stages. I can go days without it happening, then have it happen for a few days when a friend IM’s me or comes online etc.
Just a matter of Yahoo liking me and letting me know they haven’t forgotten about me is what I started telling people lol
But yeah, I got frustrated enough one day when I couldn’t sit still longer than 15 seconds for a good two hours. Was really tempted to throw my computer out the window lol
Hmmmmmm Interesting. When Buddy Spy was working (and I only had it about 4 months), it had only showed which profile was actually in a room, whereas the other would be online but not registering as being in chat.
Could have been a bit confusing as to which profile was in the room otherwise lol
Maybe rpavl needs to upgrade his ytunnel ? I have 2.0 Build 374 and seems to work fine with vers 7, but I need to upgrade or something if I go with 7.5 or 8.
I haven’t heard of an alternative either.
Are we saying that if you don’t upgrade to the latest version of messy, the problem will persist ?? I’m on 6 at the moment as the beta 8 and my o/s didn’t get along lol.
Question Isa … when you go to the page to scan someone, in the upper right hand corner are Scan Options. Are any of those little boxes unchecked? Just wondering …….
From what I know of mine, if the user is offline, it will come up as not scanned. But that is mine.
To expand the colums, the divider line between the colums headers, (i.e. the line found between “user name” and “status”) if you put your mouse there, a thing looking like a plus sign will show up if you’re right on it. Click on it and move your mouse to the right.
