At least, you can see who on your friend’s list likes to be in hiding mode…hehe…
I think this is a very frequent issue with watever version or connection. I have friends who are always logged on and never leave away messages. Sometimes the computer stops being idle for watever reason. (pop ups or other programs running in the background, etc)
There’s nothing else you can do except put away messages or log off like Johnson said

yea i agree it should give better error messages. I just tried joining a friend who’s not even in chat and the chat loading page shows up . I tried again and this time it told me the user was not in chat. kinda confusingI’m never prompted for access when I’m IMing. I created an automatic access rule for Y!messenger when i installed the firewall. Now should I try to change the connection settings in yahoo messenger? (in login menu) Or could it just be yahoo messing up? cause it doesnt happen all the time
Johnson, I think everyone here would like to know how we can secure our privacy not how to hack someone’s account. (i know you said you were just joking earlier, but some people might think you were not and may believe that this is an acceptable thing to do.)

ummm okay…that’s a really pathetic thing to do. Understand that there’s some people who log on invisible because they are busy or don’t really wanna talk. Why’s that so hard to understand?
That doesn’t give you the right to invade their privacy and steal passwords. geez. that’s freaky
