MemberAlso, the ICQ was installed in a very old Power Mac computer. I erased a lot of things from there, and it’s just in a box. I wouldn’t know how to retrieve it. I believe that I never provided my e-mail at the time of registration because it was optional. I am trying to use this by launching ICQ without downloading it. I’d need to decide again if I want it before I download it.

MemberWhat are exploits?
Also, an administrator has a red banner on their profile. I doubt it really was one. I just don’t think an administrator will pretend to be a bolt user without a red banner. I feel they take it more serious.
But what’s are exploits?

I understand this, but HOW could that person possibly have seen my IP address? I did not see any IP address revealed of other people. The netstat thing obviously doesn’t work to show who is who unless you do a direct AIM chat. How did that person see my IP address?

MemberHi, this happened to me recently for stupidly unidling the ads blocker because some things don’t function with it on.
Anyway, I had one from hotbar which I had to do that twice. It takes a long time–be patient–go to the kitchen and get a drink while it happens, but if you do this twice–it might remove it self which I had to do. Make sure when it completely uninstall that you restart the computer, delete cookies, files and history and your recycle bin which that may be stored at. Make sure that you go to download.com and install spybot or ad aware which is free and run in weekly or so. If you can, try getting a Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Internet Security. It’s a God-send. I think you can buy this online and install it from their site. It will regularly update new virus protection.
I have a Yahoo Messenger Explorer bar that I am unable to uninstall. It came as part of the Messenger which I uninstalled, but when I click on add/remove it doesn’t budge. It comes up and disappear in less than a second which is not enough to allow me to click remove on time. It’s stuck there, and if anyone can help me get rid of it, it’d be greatly appreciated. I have the programs so those stupid installation doesn’t happen. Just have to make sure that I turn it on after I do my things that doesn’t work without the ad block off.

MemberHello, I have firewall, and the person was not using the website, it was an empty profile of the bolt.com website, there’s no way that he could have used imchaos because it’s a profile from bolt that was empty because somehow some people can join the chatroom through somewhere else like someone said mirc or something.
I am not going to stop worrying because none of your theories support this, plus I read some older posts and some peole have claimed to know how to do this with only a screename which basically should make you annonymous.
There must be some explanation how this person got it.

MemberI like Yahoo. I used to have very rare Spam, then I switched to MSN and it was horrible. The Spam was just horrible to handle even with their filter. I switched to Yahoo, and I have tons of Spam, but most of it goes to the Bulk. The one thing I notice about Yahoo “spam” button to report is that it has increased my Spam which sucks on Yahoo’s part. I don’t use it anymore and let it go to Bulk. I have another Yahoo account which I use for like forums and things, and I don’t get Spam. I guess if you don’t use their report spam button or have another one for stupid registration online, you may not get Spam. I hate MSN mail and Yahoo–their search engine sucks too.

MemberI liked ICQ when I had it back then, but most people have AIM, Yahoo or MSN. You don’t hear of ICQ much. I like ICQ because it just seems more personalized, you can leave mail and it has this little note flashing and things, but oh well–most people don’t seem to have it even though you see ICQ has a long directory of users.:D
