Memberany support cams?
scottx
MemberIt happens on any regular contact i have or any cam i view in a chat room, i wish there was a way to make it not so unstable. Somtimes the first cam i close in a session or the 3rd/4th. I cant think what to change in my settings that wont cause it. I used to minimize the cam then close it as that seemed to give me more chances but not lately.

Memberi’ll try it without norton but doing stuff like that really makes me nervous even more so in a chat room but i’ll try it quickly, then i’ll have a play around with those ports
thanks
Netti wrote:Ok first question I have is, if you close down nortons, does voice work then???If so, then you need to tell nortons to open the port 5000-5001 which is what yahoo uses for voice chat.
How do you know you’re being booted? You won’t know 100% for sure. Because it could be a boot, or it could be yahoo.
Either way the disconnect will be subtle, this is because a yahoo server is down or someone is trying to crash it, or it could be someone sending you loads of packets clogging your ports, and poof, disconnect. If you have a third party application, working with yahoo messenger, then they can tell more if you’re receiving a boot, or not.
Good luck.
