On the new versions (7.0) if you want to send a IM to someone who is not on your list click on “Actions > Send Instant Message…” or press (CTRL+M). Then there will be two tabs “My Contacts” & “Other Contact”. Pick “Other Contact and enter thier I.D.
Ok I think this should work. Go to C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger and delete or move Yupdater.exe to another folder.

Well I messed around with the idea for a white windows media 10 skin and I liked the way it turned out.
Well a file with a extension .gif is a image. But if you are unsure of who is sending it or whats going on best to just leave it alone 😛

First I am not sure what you mean by “Messenger freezes when I get maill off of Yahoo” Do you mean when the “You have mail notifier” popsup?
Second, No you shouldn’t have to remove a version to update it. But it sounds like you may want to try removing Yahoo! and reinstalling it.
That is odd, I don’t know of a option to turn that on and off. What if you join a chat room then click on “Chat > Change Nick Name…”?
The patch seems to work on versions 6 and 7. There is a readme file in the download that tells you how to install it
Lets just say with MSpaint and Ultimate Paint it is virtually impossible to get shades. You need the use of “Gradients”. Which is actually more than one color fading from one to another. I did a search for gimp gradients and found some so you should be able to do it with gimp
Using Ultimate Paint or MSpaint takes alot of time. You basically have to do stuff pixel by pixel. Maybe try Gimp if you want to start getting more advanced. Its free and I hear it is decent (never tried it). Otherwise fork out the cash for PS or PSP
Well like any deleted file it may still be on your hard drive somewhere or it may not. There are tons of programs out there for recovering lost files but there is no way to know if the files are still there for sure.
The way I understand it your chances get worse the more you use the pc after the file was deleted or lost.
