Ok firstly,
P2P is far more accurate but it can be fooled…
Secondly, Avatar is based if the user has an avatar.
Web Check, uses the profile method, so ergo.. If he is in mail/mobile, web check will display online.
Secondly, this is more for dan.
I am now working on an export scan history module..
May 20, 2005 at 9:52 am #106698an0nym0usParticipantHey dan…history actually does get saved. open history.bsh in notepad. unsakred, correct me if i am wrong about this.
May 20, 2005 at 10:23 am #106704pcaddictedMemberThe buddy-spy.com page is offline for me for the past 2 days and the forum I cant get up either. Is this the case for everyone? or is there some setting on my pc that I am missing? It was working fine on monday and tuesday now I have been getting page cannot be dispalyed like a thousand times. Thanks in advance to any help. 🙂
May 20, 2005 at 10:38 am #106524UnSaKreDMemberFirstly, an0n.
Yes Scan History is saved as History.bsh
Secondly,
Buddy-spy.com has been experiencing server outages due to Upgrades.
Thirdly and Finally,
As previously posted, I have now completed the export scan history module.
It will not be available until the 2.2.03 release (which should be due out in a few weeks)
I am in the middle of working on the Automatic Scanning.
If you wish to have the pre-released beta of 2.2.03 with the Export Scan History, I have added it as an attachment, simply replace the existing buddy spy. Note Automatic Scanning is not fully tested, but it seems to be working.
May 20, 2005 at 3:21 pm #106705pcaddictedMemberI downloaded the file from here ( Thank You). I am experiencing the same problem that says invalid name and password. I moved that file as you suggested into the same folder. I have cleaned off all other versions of the buddy-spy to see if that would help. I appologize for asking the same question over again its dumb. I love this program and all of my friends use it so we can be invisible and only they know. Maybe there is something else for me to download somewhere? It use to work prior to yahoos upgrade. I have 2 pc’s and I am getting the same results on both.
Thanks again for all your genius and dedication to this program.
PcaddictedMay 20, 2005 at 3:41 pm #106525UnSaKreDMemberI as well have been experiencing rather odd results when attempting to login.
However, After I close the program down I am able to do so.
The only thing that I can think of is its Yahoo!’s encryption scheme and protocol
Upgrade. Only affecting certain ymsg servers.
My suggestion is to try different servers.
Yahoo! Is probably starting to upgrade their encryption scheme.
May 21, 2005 at 7:44 am #106605dan-i-amMemberA feature just for me? I’m honored 😀
I can’t wait to play with it. I just download the latest Beta.
I’ll report back soon 😀– dan –
May 21, 2005 at 4:33 pm #106526UnSaKreDMemberOk, from my testing. The automatic scan works fine.
The xport Scan History works fine as well.May 21, 2005 at 4:56 pm #106706pcaddictedMemberI am still receiving invalid user name and password on the beta. I have logged on and off after changing to each and every server. I cant figure out if its something on my end. The older version does log in after not working one time and closing and opening it back up, this is what I see from the older version. I always try it on myself first. P2P even when Im online it shows me offline. when I use the avatar one it shows me online even after I have logged off. The other 2 show me offline all the time. I am dying to try the new beta but I just cant get it to log in. I get 1 of two messages the one I said about or server error.
I will keep trying different times throughout the day and weekend and maybe I will get lucky.
I do see the history export and it looks cool. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. pcaddictedMay 21, 2005 at 5:18 pm #106527UnSaKreDMemberOk from the sounds of it, the YMSGEncrypt.dll is not being called and sending the encrypted password, thus erroring out with an invalid password.
I will look into it.
As I have experienced this problem as well, but only in the VB IDE.
When I run the application directly(double clicking the .exe) then it works just fine, no errors at all ever.
So I am at a loss as to what exactly it is.
May 23, 2005 at 6:44 pm #106606dan-i-amMemberHey Brandon,
2.2.3 is looking good. I love the export function and the timer. Awesome stuff.
A couple of notes.
1) As with the previous releases, the timestamp in the “Status Report” does not change upon subsequent scans. It will retain the time of the first scan on that name and never change. However, the correct timestamps appear in the “History”
2) This release (not sure if it happened in previous ones) is doing an ID check even though the option is not checked.
3) The Automatic Update works well, however, due to the nature of bots logging themselves out (or Yahoo disconnecting them) is it possible to have it check if it’s logged in and, if not, log back in before continuing. I had a scan going all night only to find out that it stopped a couple hours after I started it because the bot was logged out.
4) This color coding on the “History” is awesome because you can quickly differentiate statuses when going through a long list. Is it possible to carry this same color scheme over to the exported HTML page so that is easily readable as well?
This is getting better and better with every .x release.

May 23, 2005 at 6:51 pm #106707pcaddictedMemberHi Dan,
I downloaded the newest beta release not being successful in logging in as of yet. Can I ask what server yours is set on and what port it is on?
I reinstalled previous versions and they will log in. When I try them on myself they always show me offline even when I am on and visible. Saying that you can see why I am anxious to try out the new beta. Any info or suggestions would be appreicated. I agree kudo’s always to Unsakred his talents seem unlimited.
PcaddictedMay 23, 2005 at 10:40 pm #106528UnSaKreDMemberOk real quick,
The 2.2.3 release is still being worked on along w/ the export history.
The release posted here was an early release, since its initial uploading I have worked with the html for export history. It is now much easier to read.
I fixed The Scan Report not updating the time.
I will check on the id check being performed even when not selected.
Also, as for the bots not logging in pcaddicted. I have a funny feeling it has something to do with the PacketsLib.dll and or the YMSGEncrypt.dll.
Since my initial post about the problem, I have not seen another instance of it.
I will be uploading another pre-release of 2.2.03 with some of these bugs fixed, by mid week.

PcaddictedI am using cs16…default port of 5050.
I changed to this one a couple of weeks ago when Yahoo was doing some patches and bots were having trouble logging in. If you are trying to narrow down if it’s a server problem, just do a netstat while you are in a chatroom and see what server you are connected to and switch BuddySpy to that one… at least you know it’s one that is accepting logins. However, Im sure Unsakred know his app much better than I so you might have to wait until he can figure it out.– dan –
May 24, 2005 at 11:45 am #106708pcaddictedMemberThanks unsakred for the update on the new release. Also thanks dan reminding me of netstat I hadnt thought of that but I will check into it. 🙂
Once again unsakred thankyou so much for the hard work and your time spent on this I am a avid yahoo user as well, and I love buddy-spy. 😀 pcaddicted -
