Alright everyone, no need to be aggressive on anyone and no need to go way off topic. Let's just wait to hear from Unsakred himself before we jump to any conclusions. So let's try to keep this thread on topic.

To use emm”s last words which were well spoken
“Also I didn't realise the the WWW was a Dictatorship rather more a Democracy…”
In voicing my opinion in an overpassionate view I did veer off topic and agree till there is word from Unsakred, there is no need to jump to any conclusions.
I apologize hatedjealousy to the this site and it's members.August 28, 2006 at 8:29 pm #106657NessaParticipant
It's alright, no need to apologize, just trying to keep minor order before we all start attacking each other and then i'd have to pull out the rope and chains to hold everyone down… 😛
I don't mind anyone sharing their views, just trying to keep this topic friendly and informative!
But yeah, it's best to wait till we get official word instead of just rumors.

Hi!! I really do not know if spybuddy is the answer for me but I have been trying to have the somebodies status, if it is online or not. Also I have been trying to add the name to my contact list without notifying the person that is on my list.
So, my quote is how can I include somebody on my contact list without notying the person?
How can I know the status of somebody if the person is not on my contact list?
If the only answer is having spybuddy
How can I download the program if where I work has a very strong FIREWORk that can not let me open the WEB page, since is block.?
It is possible to download the program if I receive it by email on a zip file?
You may probably think I am crazy but I really need that.
The minimum thing I need is to know if a person is online or not
ThanksSeptember 7, 2006 at 5:00 am #106722joe765Member
Buddy deny is there a seperate program called that?September 8, 2006 at 3:33 am #106763dawnaMember
I'm having a heck of a time logging into Buddy Spy. It keeps saying my username & password are not correct even though I know they are. I've even created another yahoo account, can log into YMSG with it but not Buddy Spy. I've been through the FAQ but it's not helping.
Any ideas?September 8, 2006 at 4:33 am #106727taintedMember
I had the same problem. I just switched the server under configure to another server.
By default, the program uses scs.msg.yahoo.com

Ok, so now we all know, through 34 pages of posts, the following information.
1. Yahoo has patched the P2P scanning. This is affect EVERY program not just BS. There were many programs out before BS came around, and those are affected as well. I've been told that some programmers have found a NEW packet that will check online status, so we just wait, be patient, and someone will release a program.
Just a side note. The P2P scanning being patched is not something that's new. Yahoo has been patching P2P services for years now. Back about 8 years ago you could actually get IP addresses from anyone. But yahoo has patched many of the features that use P2P. Now you are going thru a yahoo server, and not a direct connectin… anyway that's on a thing.
2. Yahoo has definately patched the /goto or join user feature. When asked why, Yahoo replied that it was an invasion of privacy of the user of yahoo, and that this feature is a permanent patch, and will NOT be back.
3. Keep in mind in regards to Web sites. The more people that visit a web site, the more bandwidth everyone takes up. Some websites have a limited about of bandwidth they can use a month. If the site exceeds that amount, then the site is closed down, until the new month starts.
There would have been NO WAY of posting anything to let us know that the BS web site was down, and as someone said Unsak does not always know what's going on, and in this case there would have been NOTHING he could do about it anyway.
I know we are all (including me) so very spoiled with this program. We've become dependent on it's accuracy, and have the ability to decide (with the help of this program) if we want to join a certain room or not. As with any patch yahoo does we all just need to be patient, and wait. Sooner or later, someone will come up with something for us.
Thanks, all, have a great day.September 9, 2006 at 2:17 am #106764dawnaMember
I've created a total of 5 yahoo accounts to try to get buddy spy to work. Nothing. Tried downloading buddy spy and reinstalling. nothing. Changed the login servers. nothing. It used to work when I first tried it a month ago.

dawna, read the forum posts, buddy spy and other online checkers are not working for a month now…due to yahoo changed p2p ..sit tight and wait…they will come up with a solution i am sure…….November 1, 2006 at 4:52 pm #106765kb_yimMember
I heard that BuddyCheck is working now if the BOT nick is added to the nickname list of the person that you want to check.November 2, 2006 at 3:14 am #106702imported_Ven0mMember
BuddyCheck uses the same methods as Buddy Spy, so it doesn't function right anymore either. I'm afraid the age of easy spying on your buddies is over.
Sure, it will work if the bot is added to whomever's buddy list. But most people are smart enough to not let random unknown people add them.November 2, 2006 at 6:45 pm #106551UnSaKreDMember
Well done shifter, unfortunately I have had to lock down my forums as well too many multiple posts.
Bottom line is buddy spy is not working accurately because of major yahoo changes. It *IS* being worked on, but I am only one man and hold down a full time job and kids so, my time is not fully devoted to it.
So please be patient and not make either forum filled w/ duplicate posts.
