So hopefully that will be coming shortly.
Secondly, I have started on 2.2.
I hope to include a different set of languages, are there any translators?
I could translate into Romanian, if you’re interested in my language 🙂
If you think you could use a translation in Romanian, e-mail me at [email protected]
Oh, and I love your BuddySpy (although I have problems with it when running in XP)Best regards,

Oh, and I love your BuddySpy (although I have problems with it when running in XP)Best regards,
m0g0_ucThank you for your interest and willingness to help, but unfortunately the project wasn’t shown enough support to keep my interests or the time invested it takes to program / debug it.
So until further notice, I will not be releasing any new builds.
March 20, 2005 at 1:30 am #106574kimmyMemberUnSakredYou will not be working on anymore updates or enhancements to buddy spy? What about the alias checker?
March 21, 2005 at 3:46 pm #106493UnSaKreDMemberWell, I just recieved some paypal donations, and a few prods, so I will continue the next release. As for alias checker, unfortunately kimmy, there is only one way I know how to do that, and its not great, and it doesnt pull all aliases..
March 22, 2005 at 12:29 pm #106575kimmyMemberHey, not great is better than none at all. :p
March 30, 2005 at 9:19 am #106682CwitheMemberHi !
i know this problem was described and discussed before, but nothing seems to work as for me/my comp..
i reinstalled win xp sp2 ,few days ago, and so yahoo msngr and buddy spy.. I used buddy spy on previous xps and it worked fine without any complications..It went smoothly like install, log in and walla… But now; install, log in and ERRRor runtime 429..
i’ve tried all the help theres in the faq & here..and nothing works.I’m not some comp. freak btw : o ) ..
if i go to run -> cmd … it says this:C:Program FilesBuddy Spy>regsvr32ymsgpackets.dll
‘regsvr32ymsgpackets.dll’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.don’t know a thing about what this might be : ))) .
–if i do this (as offical faq help):
Run Time Error 429 is an error code for not correctly
registering ymsgpackets.dll
You can do this manually by going to start -> run – >
regsvr32 InstallPathymsgpackets.dll
Installpath is the currentpath to buddy spy...it says no module found..
*i have tried to uninstall it several times, but nothing helps..
i have version 2.1.9.thnx for any help!
March 30, 2005 at 9:52 am #106683CwitheMember…a strange thing happened..
i downloaded Buddy Spy 2.1.9. again, but this time not from romania’s server but from external mirror server..
files have different names as well , Softpedia Mirror (ro) file is named as ”buddy-spy-setup” O_o , and the one i downloaded now is named just ”setup” ,and this one works fine..
funny 🙂April 1, 2005 at 8:51 pm #106495UnSaKreDMemberSoftpedia probably renames them due to the fact it is a big file host, and Setup.exe is probably really common…
In Buddy Spy news, I just released 2.1.9a. Added new option.
I released 2.1.9a to kind of stall 2.2, I havent quite made the adequate GUI progress I hoped, the general backend of Buddy Spy 2.2, is much cleaner and faster. Now its just a matter of making it ‘pretty’ and user intuiative(spelling anyone?)
So go to buddy-spy.com to download the new 2.1.9a (softpedia mirror wont have it quite yet, it takes 12-24 hours)
April 3, 2005 at 4:15 am #106496UnSaKreDMemberWell I finally settled on the new G.U.I. for Buddy Spy 2.2, I have enclosed a screen shot, for you all to see. It’s not quite complete. But you will get the general idea…
April 3, 2005 at 6:06 pm #106674CodyBMemberAny ideas how to gain accurate results scanning someone who is on Yahoo Messenger via a mobile? When I scan them they nearly always come up as offline.
April 3, 2005 at 7:51 pm #106494UnSaKreDMemberMobile, operates differently than the regular YMSG protocol, and doesnt include the feature set, as the regular YMSG Protocol.
Its merely a problem, of finding a common packet, that will detect both regular Messenger and Mobile Users.
I have yet to find one.
April 3, 2005 at 8:30 pm #106673CodyBMemberThanks for your fast response and keep up the great work. 🙂
April 4, 2005 at 5:27 am #106467UnSaKreDMemberYour welcome, and thank you for your support for this project.
I have attached another Screen Shot, everything is going great, I am hoping 2.2 will be released, within a weeks time. If things keep progressing as great and fast as they are, it might even be less..April 4, 2005 at 7:00 am #106684123aesculapiusParticipantThere r two options for downloading Buddy Spy 2.1.9 I am a little confused with these two words ‘Internal’ and ‘Softpedia’ can anybody explain these two words n what r the major differences between them?
