What does it mean when I do a scan and it says buddy is in chatroom 110???
Also soon after it said buddy was in there I got 3 pops ups asking to view my cam. 2 were anonymous and one wasn’t anyone I know. I have never had anyone ask to view since barely anyone knows that I have a cam. I did have my cam on and the only viewer was the buddy mentioned above. I was not in a chatroom. Any ideas??

February 17, 2005 at 4:46 pm #106488UnSaKreDMemberWhat version of Buddy Spy is this happening in?
I havent seen that error since early versions of 2.1.
2.1.4 and greater uses a different way to parse the data.
But in answer to your question, 110 is part of the in room packet, that is recieved.
Its not being parsed correctly in buddy spy, so you are seeing 110…
February 17, 2005 at 7:39 pm #106671IBsuziqMemberI was using an old version, I have both a new (2.1.7) and older (one of the first) version. Just happen to use the older that time. It is usually pretty accurate though. I should make sure to use the new version
So the 110 is basicly a false reading? Buddy was either not in a room or buddy spy couldnt locate what room correctly?
February 22, 2005 at 1:24 pm #106616jtuscanoMemberUnsakred,
I am using the latest version on my personal computer and love it. I would now like to install it on my work computer but I don’t have administrator privledges. Is there a way around this problem?

make a backup of the files on your home pc(already installed) and bring them to work on a floppy or cd-r,
put all of them into C:Program FilesBuddy SpyDouble click the .dll’s if your in XP, then run buddy spy.. Should work Fine.
Only reason for the installer is to auto register the dll files.

I tried what you suggested but am having some difficulty. When I double click the dll files it tries to open them but doesn’t know which program to use. If I try to open buddy spy it says mswinsck.ocx is not correctly registered.
Do you have any further suggestions? Thanks for your help with this!

I downloaded and registered the mswinsck.ocx file. I am now able to get to the buddy spy login page. But when I try to log in i get the following error message: Run time error 429 Active x component can’t create object. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I had some success and failure with this method. ymsgpackets.dll registered successfully. However, when trying to register ymsg12encrypt.dll I got the following error msg:
ysmg12encrypt.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered.
Any further suggestions? And thank you for all your help with this!

YMSG12ENCRYPT.dll shouldnt need to be registered, only ymsgpackets.dll
On another note, I released a small update today (2.1.9)
I improved p2p scanning a bit, added a new context menu to the return data.
You can now delete a single user from the list return. You can now also sort the data in the list view…
I am still fiddling with the gui for 2.2 ( havent made one I like as of yet) lol
March 7, 2005 at 3:15 pm #106677sunflowersMemberHi, I just downloaded the new version of buddy spy. All is ok other than its getting stuck on scanning the webcam. Stays at “scanning”. The last version I had worked fine. Not sure what the prob is here. Any ideas?

Try switching the server, if the problem persists please let me know.
