I’m using MessengerData Plugin. Just google for it, i forgot where i downloaded. I also did try HyperIM but as it runs separate process, i didn’t like it.

There is no need for you both to be online, they will receive your messages, even when you already went offline 🙂
This is usually happening with hotmail accounts. If you have hotmail account, login to hotmail, and organize your contacts there.
It would be nice to describe exatly how did you solve that problem, so people with same trouble would get help from this topic.
Delete the MSN folder under C:Program Files ,also manually delete everything releated to MSN from registry.
What firewall are you using? Put messenger to the allow list, also try open manually all ports, msn needs.
Can you log in to your hotmail account? You can get you contacts from hotmail addressbook and transfer them to your working account. If you can’t use webmessenger too, then I don’t think the problem is releated to your computer, there is something wrong with your account. Sure you did enter right password? Try to do password reset.

Till waiting their responce, try to login to your account with wrong password so many times, that it gets blocked, also disable reseting with secret question, entering the wrong-one many times. You should see note about unblocking with password reset. So the other person can not sign in too.There is no chance to get that conversation ,if you had logging disabled. So just ask your friend to send it to you, thats the only way.

Don’t know why the messenger auto-away sometimes just stops working, but it has nothing to do with Plus! ,happens to my friend too, and she does not have Plus! installed.Are you using hotmail msn address? Then go to hotmail address book, and re-arrange your contacts there.
