Here is a tutorial that should help you.
Point your virus scanner to your Yahoo! folder and run a scan. This issue is the probably the result of a file (YHelTrkr.exe) that has been implanted on your system by the perpetrator.

Perhaps my security settings are preventing me from seeing anything on the IM Live page other than a brief explanation of the contest but from what I understand, opportunities to watch the contest are supposed to appear throughout the Yahoo! network. I have seen nothing of the sort as I browse through Mail, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! News etc.
Where and how may I view the contest?
Wouldn’t it be a hoot if the contestants on IM Live were continuously booted?
It may be just the whiff of coffee Yahoo! needs to address security issues more stringently.
Hello Everyone! It has been some weeks since I have visited and I must say that I am happy to see that some of you have been helping to report these sites.
Oddly enough, I was surfing for booter sites and saw my name pop up when this page appeared in the ranks.
Thanks to Shifter who ran with the ball initially and continues to help everyone that wishes to report these sites.
I have been very successful in removing a great many of these sites aand although I have endured death threats and DoS attacks on my site, I will continue to rid the web of as many of these sites as I can.
I really appreciate the support. I don’t get a whole lot of NICE e-mails or posts regarding my activities, I must say so it was refreshing to see the posts here.

It doesn’t appear that Yahoo! offers a downloadable version of Messenger for CE 3.0 but you may be able to use the Web Messenger version here.

AdBlockerPro, Ad Killer, and Zero Popup all kill Messenger ads.
I don’t really know much as far as 5.6 is concerned. I don’t care for it at all, so I don’t use it. I don’t appreciate the auto-ignore feature in 5.6. I feel that ignoring other members should be left up to me and not the application. I can’t stand the way that 5.6 steals focus when the auto-ignore feature kicks in either. If you are chatting in pm while the chatroom is in the background and someone in the chatroom triggers auto-ignore, you are thrust out of pm and into chat where you could easily send a portion of your private conversation into the chatroom.
220 is the latest version of Y!TunnelPro and I have heard that it works well at killing the ads for many people on 5.6, but I am only speaking from what I have heard. I still use 5.5 and I am gonna hang onto it til the bitter end.

To discover who is sending you pms under a name that they have cloaked, you can browse to Program Files>Yahoo!>Messenger and look for the ypager.log file.
If you have Messenger running, you will need to copy the file and paste it into another folder before opening it in any text editor.
This log will tell you who pmed you and when and will also divulge the name of the master account if the person pming you is using an alias.

If you find a site that you feel is not within the guidelines of the law or the web host’s acceptable use policy, ask the web host to remove it.
Be polite and address your concerns clearly and the web host should be more than happy to comply with your request.

I have all of the e-mail replies from the web hosts who have shut these sites down. You can add 9 more web sites to the tally as of today. I will be happy to forward the e-mails to you if you require proof. I just hope you have a large mailbox.
