NEPA? I’m from NEPA! I also went to church this evening. I played bass for two of our three services. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Yeah, I understand LAN parties. I love checking out the “Pic O’ the Day” at lanparty.com every once in a while. I can understand where people could go 30-40 or more hours without sleep (like at a LAN party) but it’s the “I was up for omg like 6 days with absolutely NO sleep, I swear!” that is completely unbelievable.

I don’t ever want to do it again. I finally just fell asleep in front of the T.V I was soooo tired. ZZZ….. I had thrown a party and didn’t fall asleep till the night after it – it was a all-nighter🙂
That’s actually one of the first believable stories I’ve read on this thread… seriously.

Anyway…I leave my laptop on for at least 5 days at a time, becuase my computer is so slow it takes it 10 mins just to start up. So I leave it on, and if I go somewhere, I lock it. (In WinXP Only (maybe 2000…?) , hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, then press Lock Computer. Requires Windows Login Password to unlock.) And that satisfies me, becuase I type in my password, then my computer is just right there, no start-up hassles. 🙂
You can also try hitting the Windows Key and L.

MemberIf that motherboard has serial ata, wouldn’t you want to get a serial ata hard drive? I’m sure many of you would be able to address that much better than I would but that’s somethink I saw. Also, if you’re going to spend that much money on a machine, I might put 1 GB of ram instead of 512 MB. If you build it with that configuration, if anything would hold it back it would be only 512 MB of memory.

MemberI have a collection of playing cards. I have about 150 decks of varying shapes, sizes, and styles. Most of them are novelty decks from different places or whatever (amusement parks, states, sports teams, brand names, etc). On top of that I have about 10 decks that I actually play with. Sorry, no picture.

USA: Let’s hear it for the boy-Deniece Williams
UK: Wake me up before you go go-Wham!i thought “Let’s hear it for the boy” was a Madonna song? and also, “Wake me up before you go go” I thought it was by George Michael…just goes to show you how much I loathe 80’s music 🙁
George Michael was the lead singer of Wham so you’re pretty much right. That other song does sound a little like some of Madonna’s early music so I can see why you would think that.

MemberCode:#149; Home At around line 110-112 listed above, change “640” to something else. There are two instances of it. The next cell in the same row is “53%” (line 180 shown below).
Code:You’d want to adjust both of these values to make it look right. I might do 85% for the first one and 15% on the second but make sure the second cell doesn’t wrap.

You might not have seen the “browse” feature. If you turn it on it changes the interface and shows you how your music is organized by genre, artist, and album. You can also organize by playlists and smart playlists.

MemberI actually have a copy of Napoleon Dynamite on DVD on my desk. My friend went to China a few weeks ago and came back with this little jewel. You can totally tell it’s pirated but, nevertheless, I’ll be watching it this week with some of my coworkers who never got to see it in the theaters. My friend says you can pretty much get any movie on DVD in China within a few days of it coming out in theaters.

MemberI’ve used both and I like iTunes better. WinAmp is a really beefy program but it has so much I get lost. iTunes has some great features and it’s simple to use. The interface is really nice. It seems like I have to orient myself to WinAmp everytime I open it which is a pain.
