Guild Wars is pretty cool. Kinda like EQ meets Diablo. MMORPG and Unlike most other MMORPGs it’s not gonna have subscription fees once it releases! Have a look: http://www.guildwars.com/
Also enjoyed many hours at Diablo I & II Played all the Warcraft games as well as Starcraft. Yeah Blizzard games kick! ๐
Never got into Counterstrike. I had the game for a while but traded it for a case of beer. Good trade if you ask me! ๐
Dungeon Siege was also pretty good, but I donโt play it much anymore and of course the C&C games are all good and lots of fun!
My $0.02
ChimmeraMemberCool idea! Anyway here’s mine:

UK: I Don’t Want To Talk About It / The First Cut Is The Deepest by Rod Stewart
US: I’m Your Boogie Man by K.C. and the Sunshine BandChimmeraMemberA fair number of skins for Trillian are available on Trillian’s web page under the skins section.
Are you using Pro or the free version?
ChimmeraMemberPreach on brothas! ๐
I’ve been a happy Trillain user for several years now. Recently moved to Pro and still like it very much. Lots of features, lots of control. A few bugs…but as Wolfrider said, it’s not perfect. Guess what?! No software ever is!
So what if Yahoo goes down? To be honest, it didn’t faze me one bit since I rarely use Yahoo anyway. ๐ It would be irritating if ICQ went down, but that’s the way things are with that big thing we call The Internet.
ChimmeraMemberI am fairly certian I’m running the latest release of 2.0 as I grabbed it when I recieved a message that my current version would not work for much longer. This was some time around the beginning of September.
My system is very much in need of an overhaul and I’ll be wiping my HDDs soon and reinstalling everything from scratch. I’ll make sure I have the absolute latest version before I resintall Trillian. It will be one of the first things I do once I get back online.
I know this is not the best way to actually fix a problem but it’s one of the simplest.
Once I have a fresh OS and newly installed Trillian, I’ll see if I still get the message.
ChimmeraMemberI, too, am receiving the Yahoo upgrade message every time I log on! I find it highly irritating and have considered turning off the Yahoo service until after the 24th, when I’m hoping they will stop issuing the message. I havenโt thought about blocking the message manually since I’m usually very quick to close the window anyway.
As for Trillian 2.0 filtering this particular message…it does not. At least not without some sort of setting change. I’m running 2.0 and I still get this message.
I suppose the good news is that I’m only getting this kind of message from Yahoo. Nothing but IMs from people I have on my list on MSN, AIM and ICQ.

That makes sense. I’ll have to do some experimenting and see what happens. I’m not a big skin user, but I’ll poke around in the ones I have and let you guys know if any of them have anything special in them! ๐
ChimmeraMemberOne question I have in regards to the hidden smilies is: Does it matter what skin is being used?
I use 2.0 mostly these days if that makes a difference. I’m also using the Trillain Cordillera 2.1 Build 3124 skin.
ChimmeraMemberPersonally, I like WinAmp 2.xx for audio. I like the way it handles mp3/wav and I like what it does for CD audio as well. I have tried WinAmp 3.x and even though I love it’s ability to play video, it just doesn’t do things fast enough and takes way too many resources.
For video, I have found several players which I like. The one I use most is called BSPlayer look it up on Google or try http://www.bsplayer.org. I’m not sure if this link will work or not. Itโs the only one I have for them. I also like GlobalDivX, which was renamed to DivXity some time ago. Now that I think about it, both players can be found on DivX-Digest look here http://www.divx-digest.com and find the players section of the software area of the page.
ChimmeraMemberQuietbritishjim is correct. the problem has been fixed adn thelink he provided points to my answer. I honestly had no idea that this thread was here….oops. ๐
If anyone else wants to try the remote assistance thing to investigate/solve any problems I’m willing to donate my time. ๐ Windows XP is necessary for it to work!
ChimmeraMemberGood news everyone!
Dreamrose and I fixed her problem. Looks like it was a corrupt installation. It’s all workin better and we did it all remotely using XP’s remote assistance features!
I’m genuinely surprised at how easy it was to get the remote assistance working. I’d heard of it being used for all sorts of stuff but never got a chance to do it myself. It was really cool to surf around on someone’s desktop from the opposie corner of the continent! ๐
ChimmeraMemberHey guys!
I’m not much of a skin user. I personally like the default skin for Trillian as it is. I have, however, messed around with a few different skins and the way I always have installed them was by unzipping the file and them manually dragging the files to the skin folder. The Skin Chooser usually does the rest from there.
Littlebuddy: A solution to you problem might be to have someone else download the skin for you and try to transfer it to you through Trillian or e-mail. This may get you around the problem, but really does not solve it. Worth a try at least if you ask me.
And I have good news! I just downloaded and installed it. It’s working fine for me. I don’t really like it very much, so I’ll be switching back to the default skin….but at least it works! ๐ Let me know if you’d like me to try e-mailing it to you.
ChimmeraMemberHave any of you guys tried E-Mule or any of the other E-Donkey variants? Very fast transfers for me and very stable as well!
Takes a bit more in the way of configuring to work, but over-all I’m quite happy with E-mule.
Go here to check out the lastest version.
http://www.emule-project.net/Then go to http://www.sharereactor.com to find liks to all sorts of stuff to download!
Good luck! ๐

ChimmeraMemberI for one, happen to think that Trillian is not too bad at all.
I’ve been using it for well over 2 years now and it does everything I want it to. I do actually use all 4 mesenger clients. The IRC thing still throws me a bit, but I’ve never been into IRC anyway, so I really don’t care about it.I used to use ICQ only before I got my hands on Trillian. Anyone who wanted to chat on other protocls had to either change to ICQ, or do it all through e-mail. Not anymore! ๐
I fully plan on going out and buying the full version once it has the features I want implemented. I do have a minor problem sending files, but I’m working on that. I think it has more to do with my network than Trillian….
So rock on Cerulean Studios! Keep up the good work!
