I disagree. I think anyone who has a keen focus on Instant Messaging knows that the IM world isn’t that big of a hype anymore. People know what they want, and basically stick to it. But with BigBlueBall the main traffic flow has halted dramatically! I’ve been a member of BBB since Jan. 02 and let me tell you, the traffic and flow of regular posters have fallen. There is obvious reasons why, but personally, I believe it’s because people are either loosing interest (as I said above, it’s not a big hype anymore so people loose interest) or theres just not a lot to talk about and they find else where to go and talk about.
BigBlueBall’s name isn’t specifically targeted towards IM, which means there is a great oppertunity to expand without having to change names for people to understand. We have a good background as it is with support for the computer section as well as the off topic forums. We NEED to expand to allow more people in and to basically liven this place up. It can get REALLY boring just coming in answering questions, and then leaving. Having a bigger forum and website means more people, more INTERESTING people, more things to talk about and more of a reason to come back.
BBB needs it. Regardless if we do a good job of answering questions, we’ve mastered it.. now lets move on and try something new. We have great staff. The staff need a new challenge. We have good foundations on moderating. We know what do to, and how to do it properly and to keep it clean. We have a good reputation as a clean knowledgeable website that has been around since the beginning. Lets kick it up a notch. PLEASE!
wow, its been forever since i’ve been here (like 2 years, wow!)…………. but i was told to come anc post by my good likke buddy graham there. i have to agree with what he said. although i havent been around (well the past two years) i have to agree that instant messaging isnt as popular as it use to be. i dont have the greatest interest in it, not that i ever did but maybe if there was other things like those other people suggested, it would gain my interest to stop by more often!

MemberUm.. because the guy running into the store left his car running means that I have all rights to steal it because I am able to? Get real. Creating this program to give Yahoo a wake up call is useless. Yahoo still hasn’t corrected booting issues, and now they have to deal with another stupid issue.
There is NO good in this project. None at all. I don’t even understand why this is being debated.

MemberI was in wal mart once. I ran in just to buy a bottle of coke, and upon paying the lady on the cash asked me if I found everything I was looking for. Me being the smartass I am said no. I then asked where the crotchless underwear were. She’s like “um mam, we don’t sell crotchless underwear…” which at that point I said “So, then I guess I didn’t find everything I was looking for” 😀

What I want to know is why the student didn’t have an interview with the administration before the suspension was issued, or why the administrator(s) didn’t conduct any research before slapping the fine, OR literally asking the student what it was, and then using a computer teacher, or technician to confirm it. Or maybe it was because he was a sophomore *rolls eyes* If this story is true, then I would be on a rampage about getting them back for it. Maybe for it, taking down their school network or something *evil grin*. But seriously, if I was that student, I would make a global announcement on every damn news channel, and paper around about how uneducated the schooling system can be.

I’m not too hot about your theme Amy, but your wallpaper is quite nice.

MemberThese options only prevent you from being shown as idle. It doesn’t actually prevent you from becoming idle.

crotch
MemberWeirdly enough, I believed it only worked once, as I was able to play Lanchcast with out it idleing out. However, changing this option only seems to turn off notification of being idle.
Does anyone else have a solution?

MemberWell, we have killed our selves in looking through the prefs. We could find nothing related to changing locations of the group.
I personally have also tried looking into the FAQ for Yahoo Groups, and of course could find nothing related…Now if I were to contact Yahoo without being replyed to with an auto-bot telling me useless information, which method would I use please and thanks.
