MemberConfrontation does not work with these people. They lie even when they know they have been found out lmao! It’s pretty pathetic if you ask me. Family is suppose to look out for eachother… but instead when those who did the spying opened my crap up to spy… they also opened it up to others who were complete strangers at the time which was dangerous.
I no longer have any respect for those who were involved. Nor do I see them the same at this point. Family can be more like wolves toward you than a complete stranger.
I’ve really learned a whole new world of lessons when dealing with family anymore. Some disgust me.
Regardless of what I do or have done.. it gives no one person the right to think it upon themselves to spy or butt in on my business. Sad really.
Thanks everyone for your help. BBB has been one of the best websites by far when it comes to getting the help one needs and meeting some great people.

MemberI contacted the router manufacture and they said connection is basically even on both wireless and cable but I know it’s not because the moment the wireless user starts a large download… both computers via cable slow waaay down.
I’m so irritated with this right now. I can’t find help.

MemberI have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz 54Mbps Broadband Router
The computer that is taking up most of the bandwith connects via the wireless connection and the other two in the home connect to the Network via cable.
I don’t have access to the “Bandwith Hog” computer… But I do control all Router and Modem Settings.
I went into the wireless settings on my router and seen something called “Transmission Rate”… does this section have anything to do with the bandwith used on the wireless connection?
It says this….
The default setting is Auto. The range is from 1 to 54Mbps.
The rate of data transmission should be set depending on the speed of your wireless network. You can select from a range of transmission speeds, or keep the default setting, Auto, to have the Router automatically use the fastest possible data rate and enable the Auto-Fallback feature. Auto-Fallback will negotiate the best possible connection speed between the Router and a wireless client.

MemberI just tried sending email from one of my other yahoo accounts to the “problem account” and they were delivered soon after I sent them.
So My Problem: I can recieve emails but can’t send them.
I know it has nothing to do with my modem firewall now and something to do with that perticular email account. BUT WHAT!

MemberThe only problem with Cryptainer LE is that when it’s not turned on..then my files aren’t protected/hidden. As far as I understood when reading about the program.

If it’s that bad…don’t share your PC…get a laptop and keep it near you or a safe place at all times…then you can be almost certain they are not spying on you. Though, if it is a parent putting something on your PC, well, maybe instead of trying to get rid of it and/or being paranoid you need to sit down and talk about it with them calmly.Ha Ha I DO have my own PC. I am an adult, not a child (in my 20’s). The family members that are trying to snoop don’t even live with me.
Anyway… Anyone know of a good program that can hide/password protect select files on my computer?
I found one called
Cryptainer LE
it’s free. Could someone check it out and let me know if it will be a good choice for me to use? Thanks.
