yea it might make a great deterent but would you honestly sit there and watch it. would you be able to sleep that night knowing that you just witness someone die? its not a scary movie that u can wake up from a bad dream and say oh that was all fake!! its inhuman, immoral, and just plan wrong!!
mdandeMembergood job mike i am glad u got it worked out and didnt give up on yahoo!!
mdandeMemberi think you are on the right track but to make really sure i would also hit up help bytes forum that way he can update his removal instructions and get his point of view on it also
mdandeMemberMiamiGuy check your filters and make sure the phone is not pluged into the dsl side of the filters this can make loss your contion
i have went from dsl to cable and back to dsl in the last year thank god i didnt have a contract with any of them. like a dumb u know what i change from the dsl over to cable cuz all of the sbc dsl techs (thay have a tech center here) was trash talkn dsl how slow it was. after witch i go and find out that 5 people on my block that i know of had cable and u wanna talk bout congestion it got to the point that buddy of mine on dial up was surfing faster then me!! so in my case dsl didnt have the congestion that cable did so i changed back to when the cable comp asked why i only keep it for 3 weeks and i told them it was slower then what i had and cost 20 bux more thay was kinda in shock! haha anyway if u plan on changeing to cable u might ask your neighbors if thay have cable 1st cuz you might be floating the same boat of congestion hell

-wow.exe- is related to spyware. This is serious violation of your privacy, your system is under security threat.
-cmd.exe- allows access to the Microsoft Windows command prompt, also known as Microsoft DOS. To-date, cmd.exe is a 32-bit command prompt used in Windows NT, 2000, and XP and offers disk and file maintainance functions to your computer as well as network functions. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.
that is a couple of them i googled for you. make sure you google them again just to make sure. there was other info on them 2..
good luck!!mdandeMembermike the only way i have seen that u can really get rid of what you got is with the instrustions from help bytes.. it is a modified version of that virus. you have the 8877.exe and help bytes is talking about the 8879.exe
Quote:help bytes
msroot.exe, mshosts.exe, msrootocx.exe, 8879.exe
ms*sys.exe (where * is anything, but its NOT msgsys, and its 7 letters long before the .exe.)mdandeMembermike make sure you tell everyone you chat with not to click on the links 1st of all. when i went to both of the urls you gave both of them tryed to download a file called 8877.exe Yohoo_Update_Java.Javainstaller i didnt download it to know for sure but i think it might be an exploit on sun java.. as for AVG anti virus its a really got freeware anti virus.. you might wanna also look at getting

starbearer I know you said you dont want to learn a new chat client and all but its the only way you are really going to be able to filter out bots. Yazak is very straight forward and easy to work. it also is very boot resistant when useing ychat.. and its FREE!
the buddy list is simple to use and has a deny a buddy build in to it
the chat room is real easy to get the hang off and looks alot like a spiced up yahoo chat room and you can limit the number of pm boxs you have open and easyly turn on and off your pm’s add names to ignore and words to the filters thats bots say!
mdandeMemberwrite your Dear Santa letter… this is really funny what the letter says when you get to read it when you are done..
mdandeMemberi have been on the do not call list from the time thay started it. it works good to stop alot of the calls but there is loop holes in it. a none profit organization can call and try to get you to donate money to them and bill collecters and it is legal. if you really wanna put a stop to those calls you can live with out, check and see if you phono company has privacy manager. I know sbc dose. with privacy manager if an automated device calls it intecepts the call and makes then state there name and if thay dont it hangs up on them and privacy manager shows up on the caller id. types of calls it intecepts – just about any type of call from a pay phone, calling card, collect calls, telemarketing, drunk friends that end up in jail for the night, pesky loan sharks and bill collecters.
mdandeMemberthats to bad 🙁 it is crystal clear here in oklahoma. I think it is just getting started.. I have alread seen some good ones from my front porch.
