Well like I said…it’s my friends webcam and her dad visited yesterday and sorted it…I don’t know how because I wasn’t there! Thanks for the help anyway…
Can’t you just go to the Canadian messenger site…http://messenger.msn.ca/Default.aspx and download it from there…it should overwrite the one you have at the moment. You’ll probably find the UK, USA and Canadian messengers are the same…
Originally what I did was went to tools > performance > advanced and took off the option to display options during full screen mode. So that worked….but after looking, I clicked the thumb tack button and it worked! I swear I clicked it before!! Things like that kinda annoy you when you realise how easy it is to resolve. Thanks for your help 🙂
To check out the status, always visit the Messenger Service Status Site. (This can easily be accessed from the help tab in messenger).
At the moment it explains that the service is “temporarily experiencing difficulty”.
Yeah I have that sometimes…if I click it again, it often works but sometimes it just won’t work at all…is it something to do with Firefox blocking popups?
It basically means – If someone else were to use the computer, then they may not want the other person to see the tabs!

You can choose if you want MSN to display you as idle after a certain time without activity. You can do this by typing in say “5” in the minutes box to show you as idle after 5 minutes. I;m guessing you’ve accidentally left this blank…either tick off the option for this to happen or type in the amount of minutes you want
