reshack can remove ads, but I don’t have reshack and I dodn’t know how to do it. so, it is nice when people post a registry with the ad already removed.
Google spends a long time in developement for all its projects, just look at G-mail. I think we’d hear about an IM at least a year before it came out.
Apples mini follows a few simple rules of marketing and technology:
-buying bulk means less cost per unit
-smaller technology = more money
-it’s “cute” so they can charge more as a noveltyi don’t think there is any question that AIM is the most popular server in america, no matter how the numbers were counted.
I wasn’t aware that 9.0 had seperate smilies… do you have some examples of a few? the most comprehensive list i’ve seen is on this website. look for the bigbluesmiler links on AIM home.
there are programs that can keep track of what sn’s click on links within your away message or profile, but not if they just look at it.
the way these animations work is that they reformat your screenname every so often. this involves sending information to AIM servers and just like almost everything else now AIM has added a rate limit.
you don’t have to check theirs, you can check yours or anyone else’s. the problem appears to be that you can’t recieve any information form the AIM servers, this would include profile information. If you can see anybody’s profile – you are still recieving data. if you can’t see anyone’s profile – you are probably not recieving data.
it may be some type of connection issue.
That’s what it should mean. I don’t know of any way this person would get around it, unless he has another name you forgot to remove.

is it possible there is a problem or back-up on AIM’s servers that is causing everyone problems???she shouldn’t be able to warn you until you have responded to her. i’ve heard of programs that run up peoples warning rates though. it is entirely useless. the only thing to do now though is get new friends.
If you think they are sending messages you aren’t getting you can try to check their profile. if it comes up, they just aren’t saying anything. if it doesn’t, and just says “please wait”, then you aren’t recieving the messages. I’ve had this problem before, never figured out what caused it/how to fix it. seems like if I would completely exit AIM and come back or restart my computer it would work for a while.
If you want to know who has you on their list, just select the ‘only allow users on buddy list’ in privacy settings. this will ensure that no one can check up on you unless they are on your list. I don’t really see a need for AIM to have this feature.
