Well if you wanna lower your self to thier standards that a choice of yours . I wouldnt torment them that will only make the problem worse , The old saying kill them with Kindness seems to work if they boot you dont come back with a nasty remark just come back to chat and act like it didnt bother you or you could use a third party chat that is very hard to boot or use java or 2.0 chat going thru the yahoo chat page. Any one can download a boot program.
Lovegrl do Your self a favor and get a free firewall Sygate, zonealarm ,or Outpost all good and free also keep your antivirus upto date,doing those two things will keep your computer safe from this guy or anyone else for that matter . Dont be intimedated by someone in chat its probly all talk just to scare you. follow shifters advice
well if active ports wount work you could try sygates free firewall and set it to block yahoo messanger and password protect it . or disable yahoo messanger by deleteing some of the dll files.that should stop it from working .
That problem seems to be one of yahoos mystery’s I have had it happen to me only got Im’s as offlines no instant message’s. just off lines next day it worked fine.
Try deleteing every thing to do with yahoo uninstall mess again delete cookies dump temp files , do you have a firewall ? is your isp using a firewall ? reinstall messanger .
try looking in your address book and see if they show up there ( they have to have a yahoo email account and not have checked the hide my online status ) But remember if someone is invisable its for a reason and you should respect thier privacy
Do you get a message account is locked for security reasons ?,Can you log into yahoo mail , chat like thru java ?
Its possible that its just yahoo having trouble if you can log into yahoo chat or mail try unistalling messanger and redownload it . BTW when posting your IP you really should use ***.***.***.*** for the real number.its possible that its just a snag in yahoo i had trouble signing into java so i used 2.0 worked fine, try using a diffrent form of caht like messanger , java or 2.0 one of them should connect .
Do you mean That everything stops working cam messanger and chat all freeze ? if so you using to much memory You need more more or you have to many programs running .

after you have blocked the ports yahoo is using you can see just how its connecting
shouldnt have anytrouble but if you do post back and ill help you all I can .lil ozzy you should report him to yahoo as a stalker kinda really sounds like one ,also some things you can do to slow the booting is set your messages to open in one window ingnore anyone whos not on your freind list and never accept invites . you might wanna try a third party chat cleint Like Jam, Y!mlite , Quick chat. go here and you can see what they look like http://www.chat-help.co.uk/
Sometimes when you login under invisable mode a freind will get the message you have logged on and then logged off , once in a while they wount see any message till you log out . Yahoo messanger is quirky that way , So simply put they will probly see you log on and off at about the same time if they are watching very intently they will notice but most of the time its so fast they probly wount notice . hope That helps .
