All I can do is hope AOL doesn’t make users update.

Memberi know this thread is kind of old… but I just wanted to tell my story. I bought my ipod a week ago, and so far I love it. i’ve never had an mp3 player before, but researched fairly extensively, and decided on the iPod. it is pricey, even for the 20 GB which I have.
the positives- it is about the size of a cassette tape, and about twice as heavy. fits right into my pocket! I had downloaded itunes about a year ago, and kept my mp3 library very neat, clean and exact. after installing files from the cd-rom that came with the ipod, as soon as I hooked up the ipod via firewire, it started transferring all of my music- 1200 files. it’s taking up 5 GB so far, I have about 13 GB left. it took about 20 mins to get most of the files over. and, when I add more files to iTunes, iPod finds it and it transfers. they work beautifuly together. I like the new click wheel too. very easy to navigate, adjust volume, everything.
the negatives- the screen does scratch pretty easily. I have tried my best to protect it, but there are 2 pretty big scratches on it already, but only viewable at the right angle. I would get a case, but that’s another negative- the accessories are expensive! a case is 29-39 bucks! I got the FM wireless transmitter for my car made by Monster at the time of purchase too, and it was another $69.99. it’s not that great either. you have about 6 presets on the transmitter to set your radio to, and then you just set your FM radio to that frequency. well, good luck if all of them are strong (ie- in a big city), because the sound quality wont be great. the only reason I got it though is because I have a cd player in my car, but it doesn’t have aux. inputs.
all in all, this was a good purchase for me. granted, i’m nowhere near rich, but i’m glad I saved my money for it. I hope this was helpful to anyone.

Membera while back, I had changed my birthdate in the hotmail options by accident, and I put in an underage date. so then MSN locked the date and I couldnt change it back and, weirdly, they took out my tabs for msn. so then I had to mail them proof that I was over 13 I think is the age where they lock that stuff out. and as soon as they received it, they changed my info back and my tabs were back. it took a lot, but I got them back. I dont know if you’re underage, but that might be it.

MemberThe MSN 6.2 is definitely a little lacking in the update, but I agree with ICE; there are probably a lot of things going unnoticed, and that’s what a minor upgrade is for. Don’t be so whiny when you can actually log on without “Error Message XXXXXXX”.

Memberi had this problem on a friend’s machine
our particular solution was downloading the driver from the company that made the webcamtime_is
MemberLastly, you can scan through fake mp3 files with mp3 shield as you download them.
