I forgot to mention about “Audio Mixer could not be Initialized”
I dont know if this pertains to you or not, but my friend had this problem and this is what we found out and what was causes his “Audio Mixer Could Not Be Initialized >>>
IF YOU HAVE A YAHOO MESSENGER SET UP ON AN OLD PC, YOU MUST REMOVE IT COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING A NEW ACCOUNT ON A NEW COMPUTER.
IF YOU DONT WHEN YOU TRY TO INSTALL YAHOO MESSENGER ON YOUR NEW PC, IT WILL STILL THINK YOU ARE ON YOUR OLD PC ACCOUNT(AND STATE THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE IT SET UP) YOU MUST CHANGE PASSWORD FOR BOTH YAHOO EMAIL AND YAHOO MESSENGER BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME ACCOUNT SEE BELOW>>
How do I change my password? If you would like to change your Yahoo! password, just sign in to your Yahoo! account with your current password and click on the Account Info or My Account link at the top of the page. You will be asked to re-enter your current password for verification. Then:- Click on the “Change Password” link.
- Enter your current password in the first box.
- Enter your new password (as you would like it to be) in the second box.
- Confirm your new password in the third box.
- Click the “Save” button.
Your Yahoo! password will always apply to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it will be valid not only for Yahoo! Mail, but also for Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Finance, and all of Yahoo!’s other personalized services.
Please Note: To better protect your account, make sure that your password is memorable for you but difficult for others to guess. Never use the same password that you have used in the past, and do not share your password with anyone. For security purposes, your new password must be a minimum of six characters long. A good password contains a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters (remember that your password is case sensitive), numbers, and special characters such as +, ?, and *. For additional information on choosing a strong password, please visit the Yahoo! Security Center.
tomsbbbMemberI spent two months with techs and they could not give me the answer to Sound Recorder not working! This is what I discovered on my own and it now works great. There is a two fold problem I was having with choppy voice too, Hope it helps you, Tom
THIS ALSO FIXED THE “CHOPPY VOICE” I WAS GETTING IN MY YAHOO VOICE RECORDED MESSAGES!!!!!!!
This also effects (But fix’s) the sound recorder because i could not talk (record) into it, because of this fix! First make sure you have the “mic” tab at the top middle of volume control screen, if it is not there then do this >>
Bring up volume control screen by clicking twice real fast on the left mouse button, then click on properties, scroll down and put a check mark in the empty “mic” box. Now it will appear on the volume control screen. Next to fix the mic so it works right, and people can hear you, do this >>
Left click real fast twice on the left mouse button, that brings up “volume control screen, then click on “options” at top left and on the dropdown menu put a check mark next to “advanced controls” then go back to the “mic” setting on the volume control screen and this time you will see an “advanced” tab at the bottom of mic setting, click on “advanced” and you will see “advanced controls” for mic screen, then go down to the bottom left and “uncheck” the “2 AGC” box but leave the “1 20dB boost” box checked.
This is why you can hear others when on your computer but they cannot hear you fix.
But if you cannot hear sounds from yahoo alerts or sound recoder or someone you are talking to on yahoo voice, then go to volume control, click on “advanced” and “uncheck” the 1 AGC box.Hope the words are not too big, I cannot see as I use too
tomsbbbMemberAlso, See this, dont know if it works or not>> http://www.geocities.com/drakkar355/denybuddy.html
