I just loaded you up date. It solved the load problem. ThanksOctober 7, 2004 at 4:45 pm #71813aneagle
ParticipantUnsakred, the link you posted 10/06/2004 is the 1.0.19, I compared it with the 1.0.19 buddyspy.exe and they are exactly the same bit by bit.

error ’91’ after clear and recheck. I’m online on Y!m with my other ID but it still says I’m offline.

MemberIT WORKS!
Thanks….it now sees “user created” rooms.
Awesome job…….I agree about that wish for an alias checker. That would be awesome if possible.
GREAT WORK.

MemberFound a minor glitch in Buddy Spy. When I load a saved list of friends and hit “Check” everything proceeds fine. But when I hit “check” a couple minutes later to update the status of listed names…nothing changes even though I know they have. Basically, I then hot to close the program, restart, reload to get the current info.

BS can’t seem to login into my account although I dun have firewall settings. Tried changing server and still the same. The program just seem to stop at the [User Name] screen though it should bring u to the [Spy Settings] screen after u click next.
Tried both 1.0.6 and 1.0.20, same thing. any idea guys?

MemberHi
Great tool!! can you integrate a feature which can tell the status also i.e. are they busy ,idle or something else.
Is there a similar tool for MSN messenger or can you make one??October 10, 2004 at 2:14 am #71765bigcfk
MemberThis might be a strecth, but would it be possible to make this for AIM? Because this is a really cool idea.

MemberHey Unsakred
I was wondering if your program would be able to tell which room they were in even if the room was a private and invite only room?October 11, 2004 at 6:18 pm #71853Dice
MemberKRON 19792000
Buddy Spy can detect and tell you witch rooms the user is in. However, I do not know if it detects them if they are in a private room or not. That would be a good upgrade. Unsakred will have to answer the rest of that.October 12, 2004 at 12:53 pm #71881Dream75

MemberOk, answers to questions.
1.) Buddy Spy will tell you if the user is in a ‘user room’
2.) No it will not tell you if they are in a private room, I am working on a t least trying to get the name back, if they are in a private room. Generally Yahoo just senda an error packet back, with no room name.
3.) As for porting buddy spy to MSN or AIM, if anything Aim would be the more viable option, I havent programmed in aim for quite some time,
If This project gets a pretty good response, then I might consider making an AIM Version as well.October 12, 2004 at 8:47 pm #71767kimmy
MemberI seem to be having a problem with this. Once buddy spy showed someone as being online. Ever since they are always offline. I signed on one of my profiles, and tried it and it says offline. Do I have to try different servers? And each time I do that do I need to restart the whole process again? Also, my bot says offline always. One other thing. I have read that people have been able to find which chat room people are in. That option is not even available to be. The only things that show up are Buddy offline and webcam offline???

MemberOk, I just tried every server offered and nothing. Not sure why it’s not working for me. Like I said one time it said someone was online.

MemberKimmy, If your bot says always offline, then buddy spy will always give u false readings as your not actually signed in. on the sign in screen, once u have entered your id and password click the ‘next’ tab and wait for the page to automatically go to the next one. As (i think) It only does this automatically when the bot connects
Hope that helps u make some headway 😉
