MemberAre you sure your buddy created those themselves? There are new audibles now for like different places of the world, just go Audibles/More Audibles/International
There’s some really cool ones from Taiwan :woot:
Anyway you can’t insert custom IMVironments or audibles because they are server side…meaning only the display pic can be from you since its uploadable.

MemberThey are usually just some teenagers who just try to get free Yahoo! ID’s to use as “bots” for their other programs or for other reasons I’m unsure of…sad isn’t it?
What I would first do is check the screen names’ profile to see if the person has put their email address in it instead of yours. That way you could just straight up write an email to them asking kindly for your ID back. If they offer a deal, like you giving them money, umm it’s definitly not worth it. Beyond simply trying to ask for it back I’m not sure what else to do since you spent 10 bucks just to hear some bs from Yahoo!. lol.
EliteNick
MemberYup.
But you see Buddy Spy doesn’t really apply to this situation at least to me.
What you’re going to have to do is a lot more in depth. You’re going to have to be clever to catch him doing something he says he doesn’t.
Can I ask something? Is this an online relationship or a real life one?

MemberSounds to me like you just need to switch to superwebcam mode or whatever it’s called.
Mine does that too. When you start it up, the reason it runs so smoothly is because it’s not streaming to Yahoo!’s servers yet. Once it connects it slows down to what is set in the webcam settings. You need to just switch to superwebcam mode to keep the framerate as good (or close).
Just go to File/Preferences/Webcam and then click the “Start super webcam mode automatically” thing and go to save to have it go fast.

Lol it’s almost 10 bucks to talk to them though.
Of course I clicked “I agree, call now” and there were no representatives available at the time..probably ’cause it’s 1:22 AM though 😀
Btw they aren’t hackers per say. Just umm…well they aren’t hackers. ‘Nuff said.

MemberI hate to sound rude but tell your friends to stop clicking every link they see and most of their problems will go away.
Anyway yes, it is a little dumb worm. All it does is make a fake version of the process spoolsv.exe and puts it into your C:Windows directory, the real spot of the real process is in C:Windowssystem32.
So go into C:Windows and find spoolsv.exe, it should have a flash icon on it. Delete that.

MemberThis is probably a longshot but it’s worth a try
Do you have anything like Norton Anti-Virus running now? Sometimes that stupid thing blocks me from GMail and other things for no reason, and I have to disable then reenable it so it lets me access those things. If that doesn’t help but you do indeed have some kind of live scanner (constantly monitoring your computer) then I suggest trying to lower the security or email scanning options to see if you are able to view it on the lower settings. It might be that the program is trying to scan or something and blah blah blah and wham you get a page cannot be displayed error. 🙂 just my guess 😀
EliteNick
MemberTrue but I’m pretty sure if they don’t want them IMing they would have also blocked anything other than Yahoo.com like chat.yahoo.com, games.yahoo.com, ect.
EliteNick
MemberHah. Can’t believe they posted that here. Anyway, thanks for the thanks back Rabid :), and thanks for the rep points 😀 won’t be long ’til you hit 2000 (Hah)

MemberThere’s programs to do it….and it’s not hacking lol…you log in YOUR ID…noone elses. I know it used to be fairly easy to do (even through Yahoo! pages) but they redid something a while ago, yet I saw a couple more programs for that come out. I am not sure if it still works –

This application will allow you to remove your yahoo id from someone elses buddy list. Quick and effective…unlike most of the other ones out there.
Simply login to the name you need to remove and then enter the persons id that you need to remove your name from and then remove it.”Get it here http://elitenick.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=28
It should since it’s using the YMSG12 protocol
*update* found an update for it, uses the new login dll, “Y!Login.dll” instead of YMSG12 🙂

MemberI get that a lot with my skin…I think on messenger 7 beta you can change it (not 100% I haven’t checked it for a while)…so hopefully if the full release of 7 still has it I’ll update my skin.
EliteNick
MemberYou can also do the simple process of logging in using the “firewall with no proxies” option…no this does not stop all boots yet again but it helps even more. It’s good for if someone is continuously doing it. Then when they finally stop or a day later you should log back in normally. For more info, such as pictures and all of that you should visit my small tutorial on how to stop booters
http://elitenick.com/index.php?page=yahoobootingexplained
Also, booting them back does nothing but cause more problems…it just starts a stupid booter war, where sometimes the people who booted you have a dumb little booter group that thinks they are elite. But anyway, yeah, good luck man.

MemberHas she tried reinstalling Yahoo! & MSN? Has she scanned her computer with Norton anti-virus or any other type of program? What OS IS she running? ect. ect.
EliteNick
MemberToo bad you have to use GAIM to use that feature. Maybe I’ll make an addon prog kind of like those answer machine for Yahoo! programs, except it’ll also log everyone on your buddy list as far as their idle, away, ect statuses are
EliteNick
MemberOops I thought he said using the voice function. 😮
For your first question, I don’t know the answer. Are you using the default skin? Sounds like the images are either not loading correctly or have some odd transparency in them. **edit** actually I think it does that when you have added someone but they have not yet accepted nor denied your request. I think this is to better protect their privacy (ie buddy spy lol)
For your second, well, I guess we’ll have to look up to Yahoo! for that one. We might actually have a chance though. Messenger 6 didn’t let you change the buddy list background color, and all of the skinners were complaining. Well, on 7 we can! Maybe they’ll listen if we complain about no images too haha.
