i'm “marvin k mooney, will you please go now?”
according to this, i don't know how to take a hint, and i'm more concerned about myself than world issues.
well, who ISN'T more concerned about themselves than world issues? i know what's goign on today. which is more than some people i know.David;220534 wrote:Your boss is your boss because he's worked hard and proven that he deserves a position higher than yours… I've never felt contempt for any boss I've worked under, but thats just me.
my boss is my boss because he's been working for the past 35 years and is old enough to be my father!
anyways this is my first job out of college, and i have to say i like my boss. he isn't a bad guy to work for, pretty laid back. he doesn't care what i do really, as long as i get my work done. he's understanding, i'm guessing mostly b/c he has 2 daughters around the same age as me.
boy, have i had some really crappy bosses at crappy jobs in my day!July 7, 2007 at 12:58 am in reply to: What happens when two geeks name their baby kid LOL? #162631
haha has anyone seen those alltell commercials? well i think it is alltell, i don't remember, where the girl is talkign to her mom in text-message language.
i personally like “omg it's inbd”
okay so i am a few days late on this one…when am i ever on time lately?
independence day (aka july 4th) is a HUGE deal to me. because i live in philadelphia, and that is the founding of the u.s. nation, where the declaration of independence was written (and signed) at independence hall, where the contstitution was written (and signed), etc.
philly has a week-long celebration we call sunoco welcome america! that lasted this year from june 28-july 4 right on penn's landing where i work. there are fireworks every night on the landing, as well as concerts every night, and then the week ends with the party on the parkway. although in philly the cops told us the fireworks were “cancelled” due to rain. so everyone goes home, and about 11:30 weds nite the fireworks go off for the news cameras! of course i was in bed by then, as i had to get up and go to work the next day.
well, hope you all had a nice holiday!
wow, that sounds pretty scary. i have really sensitive skin, and i know how much it hurts and itches when it's cold outside, but i had no idea what you went through.
ps sami, i haven't seen you in FOREVER! what have you been up to?
i'm not into video games. i wasn't even into them as a kid really. i used to have sega way back when it first came out, and my roommate in college and i used to play the original nintendo. it used to attract new people to our room!
now i find i spend a good amount of money on shoes. hey, i'm a working girl now, my shoes have to be fierce!July 6, 2007 at 1:48 am in reply to: Let’s start a fun game – "Ban the person above you" #162198
i ban tom
because i can!
seeing as i hardly have the time to post anymore, i was reading this one and decided to agree with everyone else. i have a full time job now, with bills. it's hard to balance that with family and friends, and plus the weather is gorgeous. nobody should want to be cooped up inside on the computer.
happy birthday oreo! welcome to your thirties.
thanks for the well wishes everyone! i'm much better about the whole fire thing, i'm just thankful that i woke up in time! it was a garage fire, and my apartment was above the garage…
anyways, since i'm here, i've been told to get rid of windows vista and go back to xp.
is there a place online that i can downgrade for free, or can i go to the store and buy it (if they even make it anymore)?
and another question…i've been told that limewire is not compatible with WV (windows vista). i did notice my computer was slow with it, and limewire did detect a firewall, although i had the firewall temporarily disabled.
i've got a new ipod and wanted to start downloading new stuff, but it seems itunes isnt compatible either.
so i've been working at the ISM now for about 3 weeks as the group sales manager, and i absolutely LOVE IT! my coworkers are great, our intern is fabulous, and my boss is chill.
i haven't yet woken up and thought “man, this job sucks” or “i don't wanna go to work today” which is something i definitely did NOT want in a job. i'm pretty much settled in nicely.
here's something i think you all would get a nice laugh at. our ticketing system, paciolan, is seriously the oldest program i have ever used. it's DOS based and is about 15 years old. i'm not lying to you when i say that when i sat down and started to learn the program, i thought to myself, “the folks at BBB would LOVE to get a chuckle out of this!”
all in all…a great job in a great city. great co-workers and lots of fun. call me and i will set up a tour for you!
sounds like leo has a case of the mondays.
i think this is a cry for help. britney's life and music career started going downhill after her breakup with justin timberlake. she had that quickie marriage in vegas, then backed out. she married k-fed and quickly got pregnant. then she got pregnant again. finally brit's marriage was on the rocks and she is getting divorced.
personally, i think social services should come and take her children away. what kind of mother goes out partying all hours of the night, climbs out of limos without panties? if her children are not with k-fed, WHO is watching them?
i think she is suffering form serious depression. she has no career, no husband, hardly any fan base left. a few days ago she checked into rehab, and then 24 hours later chcecked out. then shaved her head, got the tats.
she needs help! where is her family? if she can't help herself, then her family needs to step in and do something.
i almost feel for kfed…brit has no chance of getting custody of their kids now.
i just pray for her and for her babies…she needs some serious help!
happy birthday andrew!
