Waaaaaaahhhh!! I wanted to see the US win. But the American team put up a good fight. This is gonna be a year of the underdogs.
PhilipModeratorWelcome to BBB, aRchOs. As PolarBear said, there’s plenty to explore here. Enjoy your stay, and hey, I like your location 🙂
PhilipModeratorI’m really not a hardcore World Cup fan myself, but from what I see this year’s World Cup might go to one of the underdogs. That’s why I’m rooting for the US.
PhilipModeratorI want the US to win 🙂
PhilipModeratorHappy Birthday, Doris…save some cake for me to partake this coming Fall 😉
PhilipModeratorI believe that you have to log in at least once every 90 days from creation of an account, otherwise it will be deleted. In your case you’ll have to create a new account.
PhilipModeratorHi, you don’t mention which version of IE you’re using, so I’ll assume it’s IE8. To turn on protected mode, go to Tools > Internet options > Security tab. Check the Enable protected mode box, close and restart IE.
Firefox and other browsers aren’t bad, IMO. Particularly if you’re having unusual problems with a certain browser, another browser can least help you until things are sorted out.
PhilipModeratorHave a look at these two sites: How to log on to your Windows XP-based computer if you forget your password or if your password expires and I Forgot My Administrator Password!
Good luck, and please post back to let us know how it goes.
PhilipModeratorAlso have you installed any new programs or software in the past few days? Check your updates too (Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates) Very often an update (Microsoft or non-Microsoft) could be the cause of your problem.
PhilipModeratorHappy Birthday, Jeff. Now where did that BBB birthday song go?
PhilipModeratorCould you return it for a checkup or get them to replace it for you? Since you just recently bought it, it should be covered by a warranty.
PhilipModeratorHappy birthday, detn8r. Hope you have a great day!

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 🙂

Anyone using older versions can expect glitches and problems with some features. Have you been able to ask the contacts with whom you are having problems what version they are on?If it works ok for some contacts, the problem is not likely on your end. There could be any number of reasons webcams don’t work. Your contacts may need to update Flash, Java, video, graphics or audio drivers.
I think Doris made some good suggestions there. Sometimes we just assume the fault is at our end when it isn’t. Webcam problems can be such a pain (because we want to see and talk with our friends and loved ones and we can’t!) It doesn’t hurt to ask your contacts to check their webcam drivers, flash, etc. As Doris mentioned, ask them to upgrade to the latest WLM if they haven’t done so.
PhilipModeratorHappy birthday, Andrew! Just for your special day I’m having an extra large portion of oats, hee hee.
