I’ll try to do that, Jeff…but I’ve become so enamored of San Francisco 😉
PhilipModeratorMaybe I’ll fall in love. I just don’t know whether it’ll happen or not.
PhilipModeratorThe site also appears slow for me, Jeff. Pages are slow to reload.
PhilipModeratorOh it was a nice meeting. Of course polarbear (aka Heather) was there too. Mr. Egg Salad took us for a quick tour around the University of Cincinnati campus.
PhilipModeratorYes, I tend to agree with you, Jeff. When I first joined as a staff member the focus was on what I could help members with on Windows Live Messenger (WLM). That program has been retired by Microsoft and now we have Skype instead (love it or loathe it). I’m all for a change in direction for BBB, many uncharted waters to explore as the world changes.
PhilipModeratorI personally abhor the idea of moving to Skype (I have never liked Skype), being so used to WLM all these years. Whatever its misdeeds, I will miss WLM badly and will continue to use it until the giant M moth-balls it for good.
PhilipModeratorThat was quick. Thanks, Jeff 😀
PhilipModeratorThanks, Jeff. It’s done 🙂 Btw I can’t see my avatar and smileys…
PhilipModeratorI haven’t got my Timeline yet, waaaah. I’ll be sure to remove those embarrassing pics; thanks for the reminder, Mr. H 🙂
PhilipModeratorHi CC,
Try using Messenger Plus! Live to accomplish this. As far as I know WLM doesn’t have an option for this.
I hope this was what you were asking for. If not, let me know and I’ll try my best to help.
PhilipModeratorHi bigblue,
You got me on this one. I checked my WLM’s Setup audio and video devices and there’s no option to automatically lower the volume. However, there is an option (for my Logitech webcam) to use “RightSound” Perhaps it’s your webcam software that’s doing it?
PhilipModeratorHi Georgia,
What operating system are you on? Have you attempted to do a repair of WLM? If that fails, try uninstalling WLM completely and then downloading a fresh install of WLM here. Please note that the latest version of WLM is not supported on Windows XP.
Let me know if you need further help.
PhilipModeratorI’m here. Though not as active as in the past 😮
PhilipModeratorWelcome to BBB, Nick! Feel free to browse around, we’ve got plenty of stuff here 🙂
PhilipModeratorHappy belated birthday, Andrew.
And Jeff, what a nice talent you have there. Looking forward to more!
