I don’t think it’s really an invasion of privacy….I like having Google StreetView in order to see the building or house of what I’m looking for if I’m trying to find a new business.
kelseycMemberI really like using IM better, because I hate taking the time to write an email or pick of the phone to do something. With IM, I can ask my question or let the person know something, and then the convo is done!
kelseycMemberEw…I went to the homepage and I hated it! There’s way too much color and things going on! Looks like it’s more for the teenage/pre-teen set than adults.
kelseycMemberI LOVE Ikea! However, the closest one is about a 5-6 hour drive away! 🙁 It sucks that you can’t order a lot of their products online either.
I’ve used FreeCycle.org a lot too. There are tons of stuff and I also enjoy posting items I don’t really care about getting a profit on that I know others may need.
For any women out there, I use Shop Eyes Lips Face | e.l.f. Cosmetics – most of their beauty products are only ONE DOLLAR and are actually really high quality. Use the code ‘CAROLINA’ to get 50% up to $15- I got $7.50 off since I ordered about $25 worth of product last time.
kelseycMemberI’ve never had a problem editing my facebook profile and information while using Chrome- I would check for updates and/or maybe re-install it?
kelseycMemberI don’t think you can use MSN to talk to someone on Yahoo…yet. I’m sure eventually, you may be able to, but not yet!
kelseycMemberFor the longest time, I thought that googlemaps was somewhat live too…I had no idea how they had cameras EVERYWHERE. But eventually, I learned how they did it. 🙂 I use streetview all the time- it helps me scope out a new business or restaurant I’m going to so I know what it looks like and then neighborhood of houses or apartment complexes that I’m looking to rent.
May 7, 2009 at 4:35 am in reply to: MoodBox – instant messenger where you draw with your friends #172630kelseycMemberthat’s really cool! MSN Messenger has a feature sort of like that, but it is hard to actually use. Moodbox looks a lot easier to use and looks like it has more features. I like how you can save your drawings too- that’s so fun!
kelseycMemberI agree with Tigerblade- I doubt that even if Plurk or virb (whatever that is) is a better interface, Myspace and Twitter were there first (or got popular first). The sites that follow it are just seen as copycats.
kelseycMemberI think MySpace is dying a slow death, but Facebook is here to stay, mostly because they usually are able to keep the level of spam down. It’s interface is professional- I think how users aren’t able to change backgrounds of their profiles. It makes everything less annoying. 🙂 I really like Twitter, but I’m also afraid that it might go the path of myspace as well, because of the level of spammers is increasing.
kelseycMemberYou could try Digsby. I’m sure you have since you say you’ve tried most of the big ones, but you can have facebook, myspace, aim, msn, and several other ones all in one program.
kelseycMemberWhy not?
kelseycMemberI definitely think that an upgrade is always a good idea, however, wait until you can get a deal (most cell phone carriers let you get a new phone every time you renew your contract- it’s usually 2 years). Additionally, if you are worried about it being cost effective, consider getting one on ebay instead of through your carrier. Combining those savings with the price you’ll get for your used iPhone, it might be a good deal and worth the effort.
kelseycMemberIf I saw a status message like that, I would try to contact the person directly by phone. I would never solely trust their facebook account communications, as the numbers of hackers and spammers on facebook are certainly raising.
kelseycMemberI have an iPod touch, but my favorite apps are:
- AIM
- Lose It!
- Solitaire
I’m hoping to upgrade to an iPhone when my plan changes in October.
