Philip;237207 wrote:Nessa, I assume you’re talking about Fast and Furious 4 right? The one with Paul Walker and Vin Diesel. But I’ll watch anything with Michelle Rodriguez in it ๐Yes and just having Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in the same movie was enough to get me to watch it – plus I loved part one especially the cars.
And Philip – I won’t spoil the movie but you’ll be disappointed.

ParticipantWhile I’ve watched tons more movies in between last time I posted and now – I must mention I saw Fast and Furious yesterday. I won’t comment any further than that unless asked. ๐

ParticipantPolarBearNPR;237183 wrote:Ok – so I’m fairly *new* here… and was wondering what consequence negative rep has. Positive obviously gives us shiny stars, (btw, gratz on your new one, Andrew :p) but negative? Boo boo kitties or something?Same as we move up with nice little lines, they eventually get negative ones. Click here for the full list. Plus they eventually get a nice little evil red pip next to them once it turns into negative something. You can always sort the member list by reputation rep to know what i mean: The List
Hope this answers your question.

I’m jealous of your speakers though but my $20 speakers will have to do for now.

ParticipantSorry I missed your office hours – although I’m there now but it’s about to be 1AM my time, so it’s kinda lonely in there.
I got out of work very late then had to go shop for a gift because I’m attending a bridal shower for my office manager’s daughter – will be there most of tomorrow since it’s outside of San Antonio.
I must say I do agree with you about staff activity – it’s plummeted. I’m not saying I’m perfect since I haven’t been very active but I do check up frequently on the forum but should definately post more – other people can’t say the same.
My question to all staff members would be: What would get you excited to start posting and moderating the way you used to?
I always see the same people deleting the spam, correcting minor errors, etc.
All I have to really say is: Come on and get excited to be part of BBB again.

ParticipantSorry – doubled posted only because I forgot about the eight year portion – which congrats on running this site for so long!
It’s hard to come up with something creative with an eight (aside the 8-ball thing). This other site had a nifty 8 year idea but theirs was related to art which is what their site is about so it worked.
A contest is always good. I actually think a game would work best – I have been thinking about it but haven’t come up with anything – sorry. ๐

ParticipantThe iTunes thing was tried last time but it was unredeemable by people who were outside of the U.S. – I think. As I remember, someone over-seas had trouble with this.
As far as the April Fool’s thing – the only idea I have was the one I stated on IRC.
-Sending a mass e-mail to everyone at BBB stating they have won a prize and just need to log in to the site to claim their prize (include a link in e-mail) which leads to the site and has something stating April Fool’s Day – or something along those lines.
It’d get forum activitiy up that day – and it’d get people to stop by who haven’t stopped by in forever and get them to see the new forum changes.
Now granted some people like someone who got upset recently at the forum (I won’t name names) will probably get upset and state how low we have sunk to get forum activity but hey in the end it’s slightly funny? Plus I’m a mean person and would love to have typed GET OVER IT to that person – it’s not like they’ve been very active on the forums to begin with – but I’ll be good. ๐
On that note though – I know this should go on a different thread but – instead of a member having to post per day to be able to play – how about one post per week/month? It’d keep the spam/useless post down plus it’d weed out people who just log on or sign up to play. If possible.

ParticipantNice to see you post. Be sure to read the forum rules/policies and enjoy posting here at BBB! ๐

ParticipantI’ll be your witness Graham. I remember you asking for it’s return and I agreed because I missed seeing it there. So you aren’t going crazy – just yet.

Participantdetn8r;236155 wrote:I’d definitely have to say your not alone there ๐I had honestly totally forgotten about Yahoo Briefcase to be honest. When I got the email my self, I had to check it out, and found files in there I had uploaded when in was in high school almost 5 years ago! Not to mention a few scary photo’s of my self as well! ๐ฎ
It doesn’t surprise me that Yahoo would close projects that is almost non-utilized. It wouldn’t surprise me also if they canned Yahoo Groups as well.
I too had forgotten about Yahoo! Briefcase until this e-mail so had to double-check that I didn’t have anything in it and sure enough some old files I thought were long gone.
As far as Yahoo! Groups I think it’s more used than we realize. My job actually uses Yahoo! Groups for On-line Support for patients who are considering surgery or patients who have had surgery. They have a good amount of active members. I will say it’s not the best, but they use it well.
