that’s odd that it would install an expression like that automatically… are you sure it wasn’t someone elses, since it automatically shows other people’s expressions if they have them.
I think I’ll pass on the programs you have to pay for from now on… which means I’m using 5.2 for a while because smilees tabs interface frankly sucks, as I mentioned above, and I desparately need tabs… well I don’t guess I need them… I’m not going to die or anything if I don’t have them, but I just have serious problems with a bunch of windows up everywhere. Anyway, For those of you wanting tabbed windows and don’t want to pay, I’d seriously suggest you just wait it out.
Hey, I didn’t think that my idea was that new 🙂 I used to do it all the time a few years ago. David, if you release that profile server you have to credit me for the idea 😀 But I’d really love to see it!
here’s what you can do… make a webpage with simple html code, nothing flashy, and either set up the server on your computer or upload it to some other server… THAT’s the best way to go… that way you can customize it as far as you want.
I MAY be wrong but it doesn’t appear that the Buddy Links site is the cause of this… it seems like someone found an exploit and is using that to install buddy links and send this crap out. Again, I might be completely wrong and if I am, please tell me.
If you use trillian you can talk while away, and if you use gaim you can do both.
Deadaim, Aimutation, and I think middle_man all let you talk while away.
Otsego hasn’t been cancelled, but he is taking longer than expected to release it. So hopefully soon, who really knows…Use Spybot search and Destroy, Ad Aware, Evidence Eliminator, and SpywareBlaster. If that doesn’t work, something is wrong. Spybot and/or Ad Aware should work, but EE and SpywareBlaster will basically keep the tracking cookies to a minimum, block some sites that would pop up, and guard you against spyware before it happens.
the only thing with this one is that there’s no hotkey for switching tabs, and the smilies only work if you use the dropdown menu, but its a decent replacement until the addons come along.
yeah dsheline, I most likely will, I like having a forum to discuss things like this with the developers first hand, I’ve grown very fond of it on a few other boards.
